I was worried the ending for this one would make me feel empty like Girls Last Tour did, I'm glad it didn't.

What an absolutely incredible and unique story. And utterly beautiful.

Best guess as to what this is is Shimiji dealing with the fallout of something happening to her girlfriend, and either accepting it and moving on (relies on egg girl not being the friend in the colored strips) or mending her relationship and both of them being able to reconcile and heal one another.

I might be reading into it too literally, but I felt that the prologue strip happened before the "simulation" and affected Shimeji so much that it took years of simulated time to come out of her isolation.

It's definitely a prologue set a couple years before the series, she's in middle school there and high school here. After Yocchan's death Shimeji stopped going to school for the rest of middle school and only started attending again in high school. Yocchan wasn't any Shimeji Simulation character and she wasn't around for any of its events.

This series reminds me of otherside picnic.

The fear of knowing/being known, but also the joy of knowing/being known. To know/be known is to change. The connection that overcomes the alienation of the universe. We crave freedom but need stability, true freedom is also true loneliness, the bonds that connect us also bind and limit our realities. Stories expand our own limits and show us things we can't imagine ourselves, it's a freedom that comes from being bound up by the ideas of many others.

this was a wonderful read, it was kind of like a rollercoaster I have to admit... in the begining you slowly understand what's happening and it looks like cutesy highschool stuff but as you continue reading It starts feeling more surreal, from digging holes non stop to being able to use your creativity to basically make anything come to life (?I believe I phrased that wrong).

Shimeji and Majime relationship definitely reminds me of Yuuri and Chito so that's what probably got me excited and made me keep on reading this, but eventually I got even more excited when I saw some pretty cool references (like no longer human reference and the Truman show refrence)...so this is definitely a 10/10 for me and Id read it again, the only thing that made me dumbstruck was the couple of last chapters when things were spiraling like crazy so much I had to kind of go back and re read it (good night pun pun was no different so I knew this was a sign I had to keep on reading!)

The art style is so simple yet so cute and detailed, so that's a 10/10 obv

overall yeah this manga is a 10/10 I'm hoping there will be a official English version of it that I could buy one day!! I'd definitely love to buy this and read again and shelf this along with my "A girl's last tour" ☆
