Best guess as to what this is is Shimiji dealing with the fallout of something happening to her girlfriend, and either accepting it and moving on (relies on egg girl not being the friend in the colored strips) or mending her relationship and both of them being able to reconcile and heal one another.

Like with Girls Last Tour, it's a happy ending, but depending on your view it's either a bittersweet one or a hopeful one.

I think there's some stuff about storytelling to I'm not sure.
