Yeah, Index just seemed to keep getting darker and Touma had it pretty rough. The fact that he never had any powers beyond a very limited ability to prevent others from using theirs led to some very creative fights.

I much preferred the tone of Railgun, though, as it shifted sometimes quite rapidly between fun and happy and horrifyingly dark, which really helped against darkness fatigue and made the watch feel more worth it
