From what I know the manga is doing well, but I might be wrong.

Given the tone of the story it's probably just going to be some joke situation anyway ...
... but then it's a manga, so it might also do a 180° hardcore turn and turn into something else altogether.

It's not that it's manga, it's the author. I've been saying I'm genuinely terrified of what might happen for a bit now, but so far things have managed to bounce back via comedy.

It's still possible that this will end up being some comedically solved situation, but I don't think most people on this site are really truly aware of the dark shit this author is capable of.

^ I assume Pyoro was just joking due to how common it is for yuri manga to get suddenly axed. Vampeerz sells well enough that it has international releases (gotta go pick up volume 3 next week over here) and the plot getting serious is something that was bound to happen the moment the Ghika organization was introduced.

Haha fair, unfortunately it's hard to tell sometimes when people are joking about the axe. I know it can happen suddenly, but people are also quick to assume the axe sometimes as well. Also yeah the organization introduction was a big sign, especially combined with how this author has been hiding his truly dark side this whole time.

Because Ghika has taken over Ichika's body and likely placed her soul into one of the mannequins, or something along those lines.

I wasn't joking about this getting an axe; I'm just suspicious about this type of rescue-mission-finale. The damsel gets saved, the bad guy defeated, kiss, the end ;)

The bad guy isn't even around right now, it's just some random henchman.

I’m more curious about the series making it a point to show that drinking a Lilu’s blood grants immortality/vampirism, if the ants and Aria’s reaction were anything to go by.
