I just heard a song and decided to share something embarrassing, Something I can't tell my friends or in twitter and much less in the shitposting site I frequent because they would destroy me.

When I was like fourteen or sixteen I tagged along with a friend and his parent to some big store, it had a nice modern ambient, it feels luxurious...Almost made me felt like I didn't belong there hahaha but after his parents did their business we went into a cafe and got cake! the place was super nice too with music playing in the background, I was happy but then they played a song by Alex Ubago (I'm not a fan or anything) and ... it broke me hahaha.

While we were chatting random stuff in the table I was thinking "damn... this song is very nice" so I started to pay attention to the lyrics and ...T-They spoke to me! the song resonated with me too much! it was like the song was seeing right through me and I felt vulnerable and before I could do anything about it, I started crying right there in front of everyone hahahahaha I mean, not like Bwaaaaaa T-T but the tears came out and I was so embarrassed trying to hide my face and the worse part is that the song was still playing lo/ so I was still getting a mental attack while trying to calm down and while my friend and his parents were watching me awkwardly and my friend, you know what he said? "Is it the cake???" and I just laugh it off lo/ wtf imagine eating a cake so good you would cry XD aahh but to be honest I don't remember how I managed to calm down or explain, all I remember was the pure cringe and it hurtsss.

By the way, the song it's a ballad about feeling lost and hopeless in spanish ... Wait, I mean the song was in spanish, not that there's an specific feeling of loneliness that only spanish people would get, ok? Have you ever wondered what it would be like if two of your favorite musicians of all time teamed up in a super-duo that should create legendary sonic landscapes? It just happened in real life to me recently, when Tim Skold (Shotgun Messiah, KMFDM, Skold) and Nero Bellum (Psyclon Nine) created the project Not My God. The era of KMFDM when Tim was in the band and most of Psyclon Nine's catalog is some of my favorite music, so I was soooo pumped when I heard they were doing a project together.

But like most things you hype up inside your head, reality is often cruel. Their debut album is good overall, but with only 8 out of 13 songs being what I consider "listenable," it's also a huge disappointment. Tim's voice just really grates on me after a while, and I wish Nero had done at least some vocals on more than a single song.

Anyway, if anyone wants to, they can check out the video for the best song on the album, "Fiction". It has Nero's punishing synth and Tim's iconic vocals.

My Yuri brainrot has progressed to a frightening point. We were doing Jane Eyre in a college class the other day, and for the life of me, I couldn't care about the plot or the metaphors or the godawful romance or the historical significance. The only thought bouncing around in my mind was that Jane would've been much happier with Helen Burns, after which my mind spontaneously generated an alternative universe wherein the rebellious, no-nonsense Victorian middle-class girl eloped with the seemingly naïve Catholic kid with a hidden sense of wisdom. And so dies my appreciation for classical literary romance. It will not be mourned.

This story was so cute and endearing sad! That sounds awful! How one recovers from that...well. My "embarrassing" story is when I was like 7ish one of my slightly older friends in the neighborhood brought a bow and arrow to my house and we proceeded to use the family tent - unoccupied, don't worry - as target practice. Yeah, still can't get over how short-sighted I was in that moment. Imagine shooting arrows into a tent and not realising the damage is permanent? Heh...it me.

...I'm going to be generous here and just assume you have no firsthand experience with saws.

Also, no.

The ape had complete control over the saw at all times while inspecting it. She didn't "almost cut her own face." I doubt I could touch a saw blade to something as softly as she did, and that type of blade only cuts in one direction. Your "forest cred" means nothing here, sweetheart.

@Random: My father was a carpenter--he thought he could turn me into one too--so I've seen what saws can do. (Fortunately not to my family.)

It seems rather inexplicable, then, how the ape rather appears to have far better practical grasp on handling the tool and what can be safely done with it. Mostly because it sounded quite luridly hysterical and not a little patronising given the ape's clearly demonstrated competency with the tool.

To be fair, my first reaction was also that she'll cut herself either by accidentally moving it or by pricking herself with sharp tips (ngl the way she kissed it, kinda made me feel like she's about to lick it and I could feel the pain coming) and I know from experience that just touching the blade of knife etc can lead to cuts if you press it too hard or make the smallest movement (assuming the edge is properly sharp), so the fact she didn't hurt herself was really impressive. So I don't think 2Spirit reaction was thaaaat much off.

I was like 5? I was with mom at Universal studios, I think I wanted to watch something jaws related(?). Basically, we got separated from the group because my mom spoiled me too much, we were like 20 minutes late and the bus had left. Worst part? 0 english knowledge LOL.
We were lost for around and hour before the group leader found us. Sorry about the lack of details, it's been so long I don't remember it well.

I actually found a story shortly after I posted my recs--you know that feeling you get sometimes when you read a fic and you're like, "This is it. This is my favorite fic in this fandom." ? Well, here's mine: peripheries by ethiobird. It's an ongoing collection of oneshots about Adora and Catra's relationship seen from the eyes of other characters. It's brilliant and I highly recommend it. The character voices are spot on and it can be funny, tender or heartbreaking depending on who's looking at them. I think I'm going to re-read it right now, actually.
