This story had such a garbage ending. Was the black-haired girl Sumin supposed to be the main character? :-/ She has like zero charisma and didn't even develop much during the series. Seju was much better, the author seemed very confused about storytelling direction here.

You have nicely summarized most of the 500+ pages of posts here.

Why Seju is not forgiven for 10 years for cheating when Sumin got forgiveness in a blink of an eye?
How dare Sumin tell Sunghi that she hates Seju for cheating when Sumin herself cheated?
It’s a really stupid excuse for Sumin that she was in denial for 10 years!!!
How could you torture someone for ten years then wants us to believe that she is a soft-heart kid?!!
And how could Sumin get rid of her apartment so she can forget about Seju then ended paying rent to Seju and again having sex with Seju!!! Sumin just what the hell?!!!
Sumin always put borders in the relationship between her and Seju, like asking Seju not to apply to same university!! Not living together even after 7 years of dating!!!
I can’t blame Seju for saying that she didn’t feel save in this relationship, I can’t blame Seju at all
I can’t see this story being about hope and healing, I just can’t
This story did anything but justice to Seju, she deserve way way way better
Everytime Seju and Sumin did the same thing, Seju will be treated as bitch and Sumin will be forgiven in a blink of and eye or she won’t be blamed at all
It a just.. disappointed how the story went after chapter 50
And ended up so boring

I am still waiting for an adult manga that has problematic but realistic characters like Sumin and Seju solve their differences and end up together.

Me too, I thought the story as an adult gonna be about Sumin and Seju settling things between them and ending up together

Welp so looks like Sunhwa is dead and Sumin is disturbed about it. Maybe Sumin finally learns that she needs to make peace with people she cares about and talk it out before they disappear from her life forever, but I bet that's not what we are gonna get here. Rather it will be the typical "Sumin and Sungji get closer because Sungji will help Sumin through one more of her numerous life mistakes". Ew.

In an adult and real world, that what it supposed to be, not writing will and forgetting again about people in ur life!
Sunhwa died just for Sumin to write a will to Sungi. Facepalm

I've been asking myself this question many times throughout the story, lol. Was thinking of tweeting this to the author herself, but most likely she will ignore it. She seems pretty defensive about any criticism towards her favorite character. Me suspect Sumin is the author's incarnate and her fantasy of having the perfect girlfriend who overlooked her personality flaws and will love her no matter what.

Lmaooo imagine though. I can't really wrap my head around how they don't/can't see that Sumin is a boring and even annoying character.

Anyway, since I don't read this anymore, can someone say under spoilers what happened after Seju's story with Dawoon ended?
From what I get it was a continuation of Sumin and Sungji again, and just Sumin's friend dies
So basically an excuse to prolong the story even more?

Agh, that's actually sad. I remember when wdtfs was very popular and good, even as a GL genre on Lezhin, competing against het romance and the other popular genres.
Now there's basically no GL, but the BLs increase more and more.

There is Soul Drifters for what it worth. But yeah,BL has always been more popular than GL.

But you gotta pay for that, right? Also it's Ratana Satis and I was never a fan of her stories and characters.
Anyway yeah, BL was always more popular but lately the GL genre is regressing. Something I didn't expect to happen back in 2016, since it was picking up back then.

Yeah her friend died so Sumin realized that life is too short, so she wrote a will to declare all her properties to Sungi, facepalm
Seju stayed in Jejo running that hotel
And that’s it, I know it’s hella disappointing

You're not really missing out much tbh from the last side-story.

Basically, during a reunion party with her highschool classmates, Sumin found out her best friend Sunhwa had passed away. Thinking she might suddenly have an accident or illness one day, she decided to have her will written up, so Sungji won't be left with nothing. So, she met up with her ex Sangmi, who happens to be a lawyer. Drama ensured, as Sungji got pretty anxious about Sumin spending a lot of time away from home without telling her what she's up to. Then finally, the misunderstanding was cleared up. Sumin and Sungji watched the first snow together, looking all happy and smiles. The last panels has Seju watching it as well on her own, talking happily on the phone with Won. The End

If anything, I feel like erasing the memories of having read this terrible excuse of a last story.

Sigh, who thought the story in gonna end up this way! I mean, everything went so damn wrong after chapter 50, the story was promising!
So boring, lost its potential, and it was full with double standard, I was disappointed

Lmao I thought it would be something stupid and generic like that. That's why I didn't seek out to read it. Basically what I was suspecting a long time ago. They didn't actually know what they were doing, the story came out good because probably one of them (potentially the artist) was writing Seju from a personal experience, that's why she was a good character. But then they don't actually know how to develop a good pairing.

It would be one of the best yuris or even romance in general if Seju and Sumin ended up together. But it was obvious that wasn't their purpose right from the start.

Oh really?? That where Seju came from?!
Wow tell me more about it please

Yeah for sure, if the story about adults, then let’s the adults (Sumin, and Seju) deal with their problems and talk to each other. I swear Sungji and Seju had more conversation than Seju and Sumin in 17 years, even in the end of their relationship I had the feeling that somethings were unsolved yet.

Indeed, but Seju did one “mistake” and regret it
She didn’t do it purpose, she didn’t dump Sumin for another women, she didn’t get married to a man and left Sumin all alone. Even if it was the case, it’s too much to hold it against Seju for ten years. Seju didn’t go to America to stay with Sumin, she didn’t apply to the same college because of Sumin again, and didn’t live together even after 7 years of dating! And then let’s punish Seju for one mistake
When Sumin herself cheated, and got forgiveness in a blink of an eye. The story is full with double standards that it disgust me

You know I had a feeling that’s it’s a personal matter between the artist and Seju LOL
Because with anything Seju does she will be treated like a bitch, but when Sumin does it then she is forgiven, or not blamed from the start, they will just came with an excuse for Sumin’s actions

The artist had said their favorite character is Seju though. I think she was projecting a tough break up/rejection she had through Seju.
She was also a sympathetic and relatable character, so if the artist was projecting someone she hated on her, then Seju would be a pure antagonist.

The writer on the other hand seems more like the Sumin type.

I’m sorry I don’t think I understand, can you simplify it more because English is not my first language

So the writer likes Sumin while the artist likes Seju? That explains a lot...I felt like the storywriting was zig-zagging between being for adults with Seju and Sumin as protagonists; and being for teens with Sumin as "center of the universe" and Sungji as the standard perfect love interest.

I don’t know about that, I just Seju deserves better, and the story got wasted when it’s wasn’t about Sumin and Seju endgame

Guys I’m not sad just because Sumin and Seju is not an endgame. I’m sad because Sumin wanted to go separate, in a way of giving up a 17 years together. Seju is a huge part of your life, as a friend, lover, and someone who supported you in your worst times.
Yeah Sumin then again went back to Seju’s company but Seju left it.

Because by every metric the writing descended into a dumpster fire of shoddy, gratuitous melodrama long ago?

You’re damn right, precisely after chapter 50
