Minami is meant to be a contrast moe i think. I still wonder what a Minami/Kuroki pair would be like. She's only vaguely aware she's as socially challenged as Tomoko.
By the way the "EVEN THOUGH" is true to Sachi and Nori etc. Basically, if Minami could be honest with anyone it would be those three girls, and they dont even mind being each other's backup "friends" so no one thinks of them as loners. They often mock her inability to be honest. This would be an awesome development if it happened in canon.

^This ship comes from the Summer Race event, where Heroine X and Nobu teamed up. There were a lot of jokes about how Nobu was cheating on Okita because of that.
@Donnerglut, I never questioned if she's gay for Byleth, because she obviously is. I was wondering if she was as flustered and confused about this as she's shown to be in fan art.

This is one of the most accurate portrayals of their relationship I've seen in fan art.

I too picked her on my first playthrough. I really liked the confession scene where Byleth presents Dorothea the ring and Dorothea says that since she's a commoner she doesn't have anything to offer. But Byleth says that doesn't matter. In this playthrough I'm still debating on whether to marry Rhea or Edelgard. This will also determine whether I go for the Silver Snow (Rhea) or Crimson Flower route.

I think the Edelgard: Disaster Gay meme comes from the fact that, at all other times, she's this flawless, unassailable queen. The only time she shows weakness, vulnerability, or uncertainty, is when it comes to Byleth. So it's extrapolated from there that she must be having a complete gay meltdown whenever they're in contact and she's only just barely holding it together on the surface.
This would also be true for male Byleth, but nobody cares about him, lmao.
