Because they're not based on anime. Manga is still ongoing and it got very gay in recent times, pretty much turning into almost full-blown on yuri harem series.

The anime really just covered the first 30-odd chapters. There's been a HUGE tonal shift since then.

I'm a bit surprised that Yuri's so insistent on demanding that Tomoko switch from using "-chan" on her to using yobisute. Most female characters that I know of are perfectly fine with their friends calling them "-chan", unless they think it's too childish for their tastes.

This art style weirdly reminded me of Tatsuki Fujimoto's. Like I had to check the artist's page to see it wasn't a pseudonym or something lol
