You don't need some specific topic to become rivals over. The fact that they get competitive over things is what drives their "small rivalry aspect". A rival is literally just someone you compete with.

I see Tomoko talking about Nemo's genitals to her face as more of a point towards Tomoko's social awkwardness rather than a point of sexual tension between the two, if that's what you're referring to. Personally, I don't think it really compares to Tomoko and Asuka constantly talking about (and in rare cases acting upon) touching each other's various body parts or Tomoko and Yuri acting like a newly formed awkward couple all of the time. But to be fair, that's mostly up to interpretation, so if you see it another way, fair enough.

@nesshoes Personally I don't think the start is slow? Regardless of it's slow or not I think the start is wonderful, the way it just throws you into the series. Plus the way it builds up mainly using visuals to tell the story and paint the world.

~ Anyhow, this art is definitely cute and I recommend giving the series a go to anyone that hasn't seen it. It has some of my favorite animation & visuals in anime.

@TitaBL85 even if their Data was recovered. I think about all the artist or like the director.. the anime won’t be the same. Some might have passed away you know. I know art can be copied, but if you don’t know the right way it’s going to be noticeable. And directing and Anime won’t be the same if you don’t have the same idea and concept as the former one did.. I wouldn’t rely to much on the Data
