Tomboy is a personality... not a body archetype. Tomboys are girls that go against the stereotypes of what a female is seen as by females themselves.
Also.... Rin's entire character is tomboy. You's character is also tomboy... We've had tomboys for the past 8 years...

Honestly, I hope it's a male so that not only will it prove that Love Live isn't entirely yuri bait and isn't afraid to take risks with an important male character, but also because it might finally settle the dispute between the second year shippers by bringing something new to the table or eradicating the battle with a canon bombshell.

It's highly unlikely they'll confirm (or deny) any ship as canon as it would only likely make other shippers mad (YouChika, YoshiRiko, and ChikaRiko) are the main ones that I'm thinking about. Obviously they aren't the only ones who might be affected by whatever they decide to do (or not do) in this movie. So it's easier to just maintain the status quo and not confirm or deny any potential ships.

All this arguing going on, and the scene is probably just going to be a throw aeay where You is either just talking to a fan or just asking for directions or something. In other words, this character will just be a simple background character, and no one important, at all.

If you pay atention when this character is shown in the trailer, Yoshiko says "big demon". So, it seems that Yoshiko have an onee-chan.
