Chapter 3 is on yuri-ism now so i may as well enter my thoughts: i dont like this, everything seems forced and compressed, on top of that exotic girl (forgot her name) doesn't even ever legitimately act like she cares about the MC until like the last 3 pages and suddenly heel-turn, as flips said, stick to porn you don't do stories

Oh and the typical: dad is rich therefore he MUST want you to have an arranged marriage cliche is getting old real damn fast........

Actually, it's the sad reality for the greater majority of girls in Southern Asia. This is actually a case of truth in fiction...

Is like asking for Yuri to move away from All-Girl Schools or having actual male characters in the plot. Is something that always will be part of the genre.

On the actual chapter was really good, the plot was really simple but the characterizations made sense in the plot's context, Nozomi's parents are really cool and Kiara's dad was pretty subdued (he even came off more like being an awkward dad that an imposing one).

Mirai is my second favorite 'Hentai Yuri with plot' author just behind Asagi Ryu.

Of course but Sasameki Koto's on a completely different level (as Girlfriends is) in the sense that adds some pretty interesting differences on its plot. Honestly, the best thing would be to have more stories like Sasameki Koto but even great authors like Takemiya Jin stick too close at the conventions of the genre.

Given this is Mira, the plot is actually the add-on.

Not fond of any of Mira's plot-driven stories.
Stick with the porn... drop the stories pls...

I'm loving this story, the art is fantastic, the characters are endearing and the plot while simple is good for the genre.

Bit late response but... here I go:

Characters and story are porn quality at best, obviously cuz Mira mostly seems to do porn (and like some other yuri mangakas they got plot unlike those that jump directly into sex with no development whatsoever). Problem is, there is barely any porn in this... and when there is it is so shoved in there, its flow-breaking. Like turning a page and suddenly everybody is naked and getting it on for like 2 or 3 pages out of like 30... Cuz of that I don't see this as only porn, obviousvly porn gets a free pass cuz you don't check out porn for the plot. I like some of her other stuff (even if they don't have much porn in them) mostly cuz those are one-shots, drawn and flow as so, makes them easy to digest. Even Earth Girls felt like a bunch of one-shots since almost every chapter was about a different couple (I also like the anti-harem thing going on... lol)

Anyways, Mira could've easily use up all those pages at least to give the characters more development and go a bit indepth into them, but so far all I see are cookie cutter characters with cookie cutter personalities/backstories in cliche-land with the story about [porn] with barely any porn in it.

To make it short: Porn quality plot / very little porn / forced porn / characters with no depth / cliches... yaaaay.

I don't have a problem with badly written or cliched stories as long as they are sweet, I don't mind porn plot as long as it is love-filled sex. At a personal level, my problems with this manga is that it is not sweet, not enough porn to cover for it, and the sex is not love-filled.

I kinda get the impression that Mira hasn't been at this tremendously long, so doesn't have much experience constructing plots bigger than a porn one-shot. So I'm willing to cut them a little slack on their first attempt at an actual drama (or second, depending on whether you count Earth Girls as drama or rom-com).

PFFFFFT "Hey look at her panties and cheer up." AHAHAHHAAAA

While the bit with the father at the end of chapter 3 may seem a little forced, I don't mind the way the story is going actually. I can even kind of relate to the main character and how she is just wandering through life, and then this unreasonably gorgeous stranger walks in and all of a sudden she has a purpose, she knows what she wants. I can envy that, and I can appreciate the fact that she chases after this dream fully knowing that she might be coming off as a creepy stalker-type, which is how the story has been building up. I'd say then that the amount of sex in the story is just right considering this weird, fledgling relationship. Its like the author tried to seriously think about how a ridiculous, erotic island-girl lesbian fantasy might play out if it were actually realized, and who's to say they're doing it wrong?

great chapter....only thing I would change is instead of saying she's her "senior" they should have just left it as sempai since kiara is a super otaku anyway...

i really like this artist, and for the plot, not the porn (however the porn part is good too, the drawing are cute but hot)

I love it . I read almost every Mira's manga ( except Earth girls, I don't like cheating ) Well my first manga I read from Mira is Secret Sweet Night and I just love it .( eventhough it's incest )
So with this. 10/10 no complain.

yeah, I wasn't expecting that either, but you are right. btw, since it's Mira, it is in my collection of permanent rereads.

on a different note, I've been rereading this and earth girls. other than the sex scenes, I am amazed at how different each story is from one another. each is OK, but "The sea, you and the sun" story up through chp. 3 is unusually good. not novel quality, but very enjoyable. where "Earth girls," while quaint, is more of a "ho-hum" story. oh well, it is what it is. I do wish "The sun..." was longer than 4 chapters. at least ch. 4 would not seem so rushed and out of place.

I don't. Maybe we're just to used to long overextended stories to remember that in real life thing are not so complicated.
Events in chapter 4 come naturally from the ending of chapter 3.
You can think that the wedding was really rushed but remember that they are just two 20-years lightheaded girls.

At least it's better than Citrus, which, while I would usually prefer a story takes it slow, definitely fits in the "just end this cliche garbage already" pile.
