I think that's mostly due to weird phrasing. The "I've never refused" thing sounds creepy, sure, but I think the author means that she's still kinda surprised by her own sexuality.

Well it was pretty cold outside whenever they went camping, so it makes sense really.

I think that's mostly due to weird phrasing. The "I've never refused" thing sounds creepy, sure, but I think the author means that she's still kinda surprised by her own sexuality.

A more appropriate why to phrase it would be "She's too cute for me to refuse her," but given how emotionally reserved Rin is, the fact that she's beating around the bush and questioning why she's never refused makes a lot more sense. She hasn't really connected her feelings to her actions yet.

I do feel like Nadeshiko and Rin would both be utterly clueless when it comes to sex, but Nadeshiko would obviously be the more adventurous and experimental type, while Rin would be very by-the-books. What we're seeing here seems like it's a short ways into a sexual awakening of sorts, where they're both just having fun exploring each other.

You know, it strikes me that CGDCT never, ever is allowed to "go" anywhere. I can think of only Sakura Trick as having actual yuri development. Even yuruyuri, well especially yuruyuri, never goes anywhere (though to be fair Himawari x Sakurako is solid).

Could you even have real yuri development in a moe slice of life type show successfully? Would it have to be a spin-off? What would that even look like?

I don't really read doujin much but this was pretty good, I guess is what I'm saying.

Kanamemo also comes to mind, although that's not so much 'developed' as 'present at the outset'. Really it comes down to where you draw the line as to what constitutes slice of life; you could say Bloom Into You or Kobayashi's Dragon Maid qualify.

I finished watching season 2 last week, so going back and reading these feels extra nice. Nadeshiko's expression at the top of page 13 still makes me grin.
