Agree. I think that slice-of-life and drama wound be better tags...

Yeah, I'd take off the current tags since they don't really apply. Not that it isn't a lovely, sweet story with great art though. I really enjoyed this, and in an odd way it reminds me of Koburiawase, in the sense that the story revolves around two people who become family by overcoming initial rocky ground.

It's not yuri either, but it's still pretty good.

Fairly nice story. And, yeah, not really yuri, though the potential is there

I can potentially see where one might get Yuri from this, but yeah it isn't yuri. Its still a cute little one-short though.

And there goes the tag, I guess? Seems like people 'round here really aren't fond of exercising their goggles. Personally, I'd leave at least some indication of yuri-relatedness in there ("step-sisters", maybe? "slice of life" and "drama" are really so generic. Sure, "sister" is in the title, but what about tag search?) but hey, I guess it's whatever in the end.

As for the chapter itself, it really was fucking moe how the two girls were so happy to become sisters. That's romanticism right there, y'know? If you ask me. This shit was super cute.

It's not very strong but if I'm searching for Yuri, I would like to see this one in the list. I guess I missed a lot of good manga ( about girls ) just because they don't have Yuri tag hmm....

It was more of, it was too "innocent" to label as Yuri or even subtext. Maybe it's my fault for not putting on goggles but it really didn't give off Yuri vibes. It really was just a sister-sister relationship. Kinda fun to see a Yuri on this one though but friends are quite a very nice addition.

I have to agree that it is indeed moe. The many parts of onee-san tearing up kinda ruined it for me.

Tsk, maybe I'll give it the subtext tag then. You talk it out amongst yourselves while I go watch Let's Plays for now.

It's still a cute story regardless of tags.

In specific regards to the "is or is not this yuri" argument, I just want to note that this oneshot was specifically published in Hirari magazine. More explicitly, the name is, "Pure Yuri Anthology Hirari" magazine. Now, I guess some people might be unhappy with simply labelling everything coming from a "yuri" magazine as yuri, but the main idea is that as for a publication from a company specifically trying to sell to an audience which likes yuri, the editors of Hirari chose this work as something fit to sell to their readers. To put it another way: even if this work doesn't really match up to your own personal standards of yuri, nonetheless, yuri fans are still the most likely group to gain some enjoyment from reading this manga (versus, say, "slice of life" or "drama" fans, neither of which specifically compose a large portion of this website's readers anyway).

It might be one thing if tags are slightly inaccurate, but I think another thing to consider is simply what effect those tags will have on who decides to read a chapter. Complaining that a work "isn't yuri" might be fine, the right thing to do, perhaps. However, if you are gonna complain, I would personally say it's more important to try to think of a way to communicate the chapter's content in a way that would still appeal to the people who'd like it most.

edit:

Well, I think it doesn't need that much argument. If people don't like "yuri", I would vote for "step-sisters" as fine. If "subtext" has actually become a thing on the reader, maybe that as well.

Loved it, been looking forward to another one of this author's works for a long time.

As for the tags, I'll let others work that issue out ^_^

EDIT:Wow, my first post, I knew I rarely visited the forums but this was surprising.

I usually have my yuri goggles firmly locked in place, but I'm just seeing it here. And you know what? I'm ok with that. It was a very nice, cute story. Not everything has to be some great romantic story in order to hold value for those of us in the yuri faction.

You could make an argument for the subtext tag here, but I don't think it's appropriate. There just wasn't enough about their relationship to justify it. Like, the story was 95% Azusa. We only get a few panels with anything substantial enough to offer subtext. Maybe we can make a "subtext of subtext" tag, but that seems like a dangerous slope to slide down.

... Fuck myself. I should really think before I post something here and predict people's reactions. I like what I like and I like this. I didn't even see if there was a "Yuri" tag in place, just that it's slice of life and drama.

What I am mainly trying to say is that you can work on the tags by yourselves. I don't particularly care since I mostly read all of the books in here.

I end my association with the argument.

There sure are a lot of tears in this ...almost every page, author like seeing people cry?

But yea, I think I have my goggles on but the signal's kinda weak.

Sure a cute story! Definitely going into the favorites.

And I don't think it matters if it's yuri or not, now that the tags have been sorted.
