I was half expecting Mizuki to fake it to grab a kiss. Cute doujin, in any case. ^^

This is one of my favorite ships, and by one of my favorite authors to boot - awesome!

"Pokemon-san"?

"Pokemon-san"?

It's how Lillie refers to pokemon. It's one of her speech ticks.

This ship seems pretty popular, but if so what's with all these mangaka just having nothing much develop ever? not one story so far actually has a kiss or confession - they are all wishful thinking and 'i like her soo much' and then nothing happens?

Is it because it's Nintendo and they think if they don't keep it 'safe' they will come after them or something?

What, I had no idea she had a catchphrase like that, that's even more adorable.

Cmon Lillie. You're not really doing your Lilliest if you're not going in for the kiss at the end. Girl up and go for it. The world is rooting for you!

Adorable but it's kinda ironic that Mizuki is Lillie's sun when her name means Moon

Not that I'm complaining but can someone tell me why Female Protag is shipped with Lillie more than the Male Protag

People play Pokemon as a male character? Wait, a male option even exists? Stop making things up, that's crazy.

Anyway, once more it is confirmed that Nintendo does soulless translations that strip out a huge amount of the charm and character their games have in Japanese. I was recently annoyed while playing Alpha Sapphire that the yuri-ish female "Sempai and Kouhai" trainers were instead called "teammates" in English, which does not carry the nuance of the relationship over at all. As said, there's a lot of that kind of hamfisted work.

S&M's translation is pretty great, I think. Lots of character to go around. I'm not surprised they cut "ganbalillie." It doesn't really lend itself well to translation, and that kind of thing sounds more unnatural in English - or at least it's more unusual. It was confusing running across it in fan works and not knowing where it came from, though.

Aren't you the one who translates standard Japanese phrases to twitter meme tier lingo like "no big, fam"?

I agree with Yes Cantaloupe, I did like Sun and Moon's translation . While it probably could have been better in some points - I don't know, since I haven't seen the original Japanese - and some jokes were most likely lost, for the rest of it the game's dialogue and stuff came across as well written and comprehensible.

It's a balance translators have to make - they want to keep the translation as close and literal to the original as possible. At the same time, they want to use phrases and the like from the new language the dialogue come across as natural as the original does. So yeah, it's not exactly easy and there will be plenty of times when the translator screws up, and there will be people who are upset either way, but personally I did like Sun and Moon's translation.
