Make a tag suggestion, there's an icon at the upper right for it.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

It is kind of cute, her way of drawing characters so yeah, I think is moe style with the big eyes and all(but depressing).

Huh. I'll talk to dpf about it later.

That said, why would the non-moe artnot fit here ? As beautiful as her art is, it is clearly unusual and quite unique.

That tag seems to be more fitting with the realistic/mature looking series. This one, while not your typical moe, is still very much in a cartoonish style.

Well, I can get on board with this. However the tag descritpion states :

"For series whose art is significantly different from what you'd call typical anime style of the modern era".

And if we stick to the definition, this story should belong in the non-moe category.

This doesn't look "realistic" or "mature" in term of art either and is tagged non-moe. It's kind of dark, but so is this story.

I'm not trying to pick holes in what you say, I just want to have a better understanding of how you'd use tags; because the use of some tags still remains a mystery for me.

I don't get how lesbians are related to this story yet, seems like it was kinda just shoved in there because of a whim

Honestly, if you or anyone you know acts like this, see a specialist.

Doesn't work for me. I've tried and don't want to ever go back there again. Besides it is easier said than done; with this personality you're more into thinking and not doing. Society often despises people like this and are offensive to people who simply don't have the courage to actually talk out to people about their own personal problems

^

I've never went to a specialist regarding the issues I'm facing.

Can't say I have all the conditions that the author have but I could say I'm experiencing most of them.

Yup, no courage is the word. The moment when I don't even dare to hurt myself. Thought of going to specialist once, but I thought after that, nah.

When you reject one thing about me, I take it as a full rejection of me as a person This hit me so badly, and I thought I was the only one that have this thought

I'm just saying this series very much still sticks to the typical cutesy anime style (big eyes, wacky expressions, cartoony proportions, that kinda thing). The story isn't exactly pleasant but the art is still very much moe, if not the kind you're typically used to.

Anyone can teach me how to buy a book on amazon Japan and ship overseas? As much as I don't understand Japanese, but I thought to myself that I should buy this book :x

Now that ... was a masterpiece. Can't wait to see more, hope her life becomes better, or not, this is just a dead end story.

I disagree with people who want to tag this "non-moe". The story is not moe, but the art clearly is.

This is very depressing, but still very nice. I really want to see the way she recovers.

"Kill all hu-mans" is sounding more sensible by the day.

Why hu-mans with the hyphen?

Also how does "killing all X" ever sound even remotely sensible?
I get that it isn't serious but the fact that just because a person's opinion is invalid or toxic in your eyes you would wish death upon them makes you just as toxic, if not more.

I’m reasonably certain it’s a reference to something.

If that whole thing was just a clever reference and I got a little upset over nothing then I apologize.

To make it sound more like a robot, as in Futurama.

I feel like non-moe is like, old school, uh, more realistic-looking kind of shiz. The art style here is cute/cartoony/chibi ish enough.

Ugh, this right here is what got me, personally. I've gotten that type of reaction from so many people. My friends, my sisters, and, yeah, my mother. Its disheartening to hear for someone that already feels worthless and feeds the feeling of hopelessness... sigh

I used to have a friend who suffered from major depressive disorder (MDD) before. At that time, she was really depressed like everything in her world was crumbled and shattered. She told me that she suffered but she didn't know why and what, she even had the idea of committing suicide. Everyone told her that she think too much but it's not, it's a disorder from abnormal neurotransmitter. Several months after treatment, her mental was better. So if you have friends who being MDD, please understood them and take them to see doctor before it's too late.

anyone know how the mangaka is doing atm? hope she's well

Just wanted to ask that myself.

feels good to not have a mental illness

I think everyone's brain is at least a little bit broken. :-) The "healthy" people are just more adept at dealing with those traumas or just lucky enough to have not experienced truly horrific stuff.
