@Alice Cheshire Well, I can say for sure that there's at least one less person that wanted to play Brutal DOOM then. Some people are really disgusting.

@Galich
Hay, that would be a peaceful and quiet Sunday^^
And you probably have your cats beside you to make sure that you are perfectly absorbed in your book xD
I'm waiting for the bus and there is these two kids sitting next to me who are speaking in Russian xD sounds familiar?

@Blackkitty you're right on the money here :P just woken up from taking a nap, looks like I'll carry on reading and playing with my cats.
Hah! Sounds pretty familiar.. Are you going somewhere close or far? I dearly hope that you won't end up having to wait for as much as I had.
I'd honestly rather play Brutal DOOM than the remake.
I'd very strongly recommend refraining from showing anything remotely resembling support for Sgt Mark. He's a despicable person. He's had numerous incidents in the past where he used other peoples' resources in Brutal Doom without crediting them. And even worse he actively encouraged someone to commit suicide when the guy was really depressed.
I'd be happy to stop. Do you know of any similar sorts of mods where the general DOOM feel is maintained, but with more modern mechanics/new levels? I'd totally recommend that instead, but I don't know the scene well enough.
I do get the impression that there's a lot of nasty infighting in the mod scene in general, which is off-putting.
Re: Brutal Doom; Brutal Doom is probably the most divisive mod in Doom history. Not only is there all that bad stuff about Sgt Mark, like what Alice said, but fans of Brutal Doom would harass other mod makers to add Brutal Doom support for their mods, and lots of people would dismiss mods if they do not run with Brutal Doom. There are just so many reasons not to like this mod.
@Galich, I live and breath technobabble! It makes work hard sometimes, though. I don't like to assume people are stupid, so I don't want to almost talk to them like they are clueless. On the other hand, if someone asks for an explanation, I sometimes take a long time explaining why something is how it is (including history behind it lol) and that might be a little problematic. :P
@Nezchan, I don't really play any gameplay mods for Doom; just map packs usually, but I can ask my buddy who is really into Doom WADs if he knows any like that. However, most of the gameplay WADs he plays alter quite a bit. Demonsteele as cool like that.

You might try looking up some of the mods from this image. I can't really recommend mods too much though since whenever I play Doom anymore I typically just stick to Oblige generated wads with huge amounts of monster.

What ZuljinRaynor is pretty relevant here, though that in itself is more of an issue with BD's fanbase than BD/Sgt Mark for once. A lot of the Doom modding community anymore tends to strongly dislike Brutal Doom due to flood of compatibility requests.
I'll save that for future reference.
For now I'm playing a lot of Minetest with occasional Moon Hunters breaks. I built an undersea base, and I'm trying to figure out how to do farming down there.
@Galich heh you can always rely on you furry friends^^
I'm about 30 km out of the city, in search of refuge in the countryside... a few days of silence and peace^^..and less heat!
@ ZuljinRaynor
Where were you when my computer broke down??????? ;)
Could have needed a little guidance back then... T_T
@ Blackkitty
Have fun on your vacation! And get a little rest! (^_^)b
@Anon
for real^^ my granny has the 0 blood type, and I know it from her.. when she is around, I suffer less from mosquito bites.
According to my father I have the A blood type, I've just asked him, but I wonder if I should trust his memory.
not now, but later she will^^ hopefully
hah, I see.. well, you can't only feed on brains.. you have to give something in return.. some blood for example xD
hah, only in movies... what happened to your vivid imagination xD
yes, my Leo brother, he is my only sibling^^ we are so different that when we have to spend more than a few days together, we start to have arguments. What to say: he loves talking very much - I don't; he wants things done at the moment - I like taking my sweet time with everything; he is bossy and thinks everyone should listen to him - I hate being ordered around; he is noisy - I'm quiet; he is diplomatic - I'm honest; he thinks how to make more money, while I'm daydreaming xD he always wants to watch together movies late at night, but I don't.. because after that he can sleep well till noon, while I always wake up around 7am xD.. so it's usually him - watching, and I - falling asleep beside him xD and I could go on..
^^ it's not really a vacation.. it's rather my occasional runaway from the noise :) I don't really deserve rest, but.. thanks!
@ Z. Long
If you wanna know your blood type as well you can ask your doctor. You have to pay for the test yourself – at least here in Germany, don't know about other countries – but apart from that it's not a big deal. Or just go and donate some blood when you get a chance to do so. It doesn't really hurt. The needle is a little thicker than the one for normal injections but you don't really feel the difference...
I hope that'll never happen but in case you do get into an accident at one point in your life, they have quick tests to determine your blood type as well.
@ Blackkitty
Nice... O_o
Well... everything has it's downside, I guess... But I just read that in case I should infect myself with malaria at one point in life, I do have higher chances of survival with blood type 0 ^^ Isn't that great? ;)
But wait a minute... it's mosquitos that infect people with malaria in the first place... right...?
So in conclusion: In case malaria should become a thing where I live I'd be one of the first to get it because mosquitos love my blood – but I'd have better chances to survive because of my blood at the same time... sounds like a bad joke... Compensation in a way, maybe... O_O
Weird...
ha ha!
Sounds like a good combination of my two siblings ^^
The only thing I have in common with your brother is that movie thing (^_^)b
Watching movies in the dark is the best. I always wait until it gets dark to watch TV shows or movies or play video games...
@ Miki
heheheh I don't think I've ever reached any goal in my life ^^
Apart from grades in school and with money stuff... I'm pretty good with those.
Well... if we exclude writing here, then I'm quite good with stuff like that.
The only problem I always have is that it mostly takes way longer than I imagined ^^
Let's say I think I'll finish something within an hour - in the end it's three hours ;)
If I take the time I imagined and multiply it with three then I tend to come a little closer to the truth ^^
last edited at Aug 7, 2016 4:34PM
I do have days like that. Days where I can't find the motivation to do anything.
But by now I'm wise enough not to set myself any goals then ;)
With me it kinda all depends on my sleep. If I sleep enough over a longer period of time then I'm mostly fine. But if my sleeping schedule is really messed up - like it is most of the time - then it's a constant up and down. One day I wanna do everything at once - the next I can't do anything... ^^
@Miki I never know what I want, I occasionally fail at achieving my goals, i do luck motivation and energy sometimes... and I do need much sleep.. you are not alone^^
@Anon ... lucky you! Have in mind the zikka virus, the yellow fever, and I don't know what else... but you are a zombie, they are very healthy dead creatures!
that's funny.. so you are a super Leo, maybe they wont see us quarrel on Dynasty xD
but really, you are so atypical, at least you should have the Leo's hair - my best friend has this gorgeous hair, it's like a lion's mane - wavy, thick, strong^^
oh, now I feel like the old boring lady who is not able to watch a movie properly xD...

@Miki I do think there's someone in this thread that likes LL quite a bit, dunno who that is tho.
Well, it's easy to see when you force something, so don't kick yourself over your body refusing to do something creative. Those ideas will eventually come out on their own.
@Blackkitty Don't worry, last time I've watched a movie was more than 1,5 years ago.
Well, I would've died at the countryside, I need my daily potion of crowds and air polution v:
I know that my blood level is AB+, which, IIRC, accepts all blood types. Not too sure tho.
@Galich AB is a rare blood type
yes I think so..
Crowds and air polution... Yammy
Yup, add tiramisu and done!
So I heard, I tend to tell people AB RH+ (the same thing as AB+) to confuse them, since 1. No one is calling it like that and 2. It;s a rare blood type.
@Miki, I see you keep changing your avatar.
It's sad you cant use gif as avatar tho, I got one I really want to use :'(
@Utoptia - ummm, unless it's animated, i'm not understanding the problem. why not just save the gif in another format?

Animation is really the only actual reason to use a gif. The format is otherwise pretty crappy.

Well ciega, it is because it's animated that I want to use a gif.
Here's the one I want to use (ye, I just love Gilgamesh)

Ayy I've been busy this week, so the reply is super late. I've been occupied the entire weekend with the anime convention in my town, it was really great. I bought 3 prints:

http://lolisoup.deviantart.com/art/Again-536280880
http://lolisoup.deviantart.com/art/Rather-Be-526206485
And actually found this at a stand that sold a bunch of doujins, tho it was fucking expensive, rip my wallet. Tho I haven't finished Love Live, I have read some LL doujins lmao, and I recognise Oshima Tomo as one of my favourite artists, her art's great
@Blackkitty
is that part-time job only for the summer?
Maybe, probably, idk
Canadian French...from what I've heard on TV, they sometimes say English words among the French ones and their accent is in between the two languages. It's difficult to understand, but at the same time kind of cute.
Ppl often prefer one language to the other, so they can't help having an accent in the second/third languages lol
@Anon99
Sorry for the late reply!
Same lmao
Uhh... trilingual... That's impressive!
I wish I would have been raised at least bilingual; but no luck. My grandfather didn't bother teaching his children Italian, so my mom never learned it.
But I can see that it gets difficult as well when you're surrounded by too many different languages.
It's probably not easy to really perfect them all...
Wait... Weren't you from Berlin? Don't you know German? You're not bilingual?
Yeah... all of that yaoi stuff... I don't really have any use for it as well.
What I do like about it is the fact that it's really mostly girls reading those.
'cause in most het hentai manga girls aren't really treated nicely. So it has a kind of dignity that some girls rather watch two boys getting it on – with no girls being mistreated at all. I like the idea of that. That way they don't have to feel bad about it, I guess.
It's nice to have porn directed at women (depending on their tastes ofc)
It's kinda funny that Citrus of all yuri manga out there is so popular. There are much better series than that one. But oh well... it helps the cause so I can't really complain. ^^
It's the latest yuri title that was released in English, if you don't count Akuma no Riddle, there were hardly anything besides Girl Friends (that also did VERY well btw, basically why they licensed 4 series form Morinaga). I agree that there's better lol, but they aren't licensed/released yet.
Don't worry about that! I didn't really take time to think about my name as well... (^_^”)
Kinda regret that by now but in the end it doesn't really matter, I guess...
I still like that name Faust tho, even if I'm not as deeply into its roots as it could seem, I still really like it, wouldn't change it :D
Oh, so you like Monster as well? That's nice. One of the darkest shows/manga I've seen. Loved it.
What kind of shows or manga (none yuri related) do you like to watch/read?
I'm trying to watch Fate/Zero rn, my friend has been insisting for months. I watched the first ep to 91 Days, this Italian Mafia setting with a twist of the Count of Monte Cristo. I only saw one episode so far, cus when I started the 2nd episode, the opening was so good I got distracted and just listened to it over and over for a week. Still haven't watched the 2nd episode, rip.

@ Faust
In real life I'm almost always late with my replies; so basically all of my messages start with something like „Sorry for the late reply“! ;)
It's my trademark ^^
I'm from Germany, yes, but not from Berlin. I'm from down south ;)
Small town in Bavaria. I do speak German. But unfortunately I wasn't exactly raised bilingual. English came later on. I admit that I mostly learned it by myself and not in school, however, that only started when I was about 11 years old maybe... I just think that it's pretty cool when your parents speak different languages and teach their kids from an early age. We had a Spanish teacher back in school who was raised bilingual and you really couldn't hear the slightest accent in either language.
And it also saves you the "trouble“ of learning it later on ^^
In case you have a thing for depressing yuri then maybe you should read 12 days. That one was released everywhere, I think. America, Europe and Asia as far as I know. One of my favorite lesbian comics:

I've been wanting to rewatch Fate/Zero for a while now. I've seen it a few years ago and really liked it for being so dark. Tried watching Fate/Stay Night after that but just couldn't pull through... the difference in quality was just too big...
And nice prints you got there, by the way. Really like the first one. I like that drawing style way better than the original one; although that one served it's purpose, I guess ^^

Ah oops, must have been someone else then @_@

My friend did mention that too, he also watched Zero before Stay/Night. He said the random comedy felt off and was cringe, cus he was used to the mood of Zero

THE FIRST IS MY FAVOURITE. I legit gasped and low key freaked out when I saw it, legit nothing else at the expo room made me feel the way I felt when I first spotted the MadoHomu one, I love it so much ;____; I can't really put gay things on my wall, but I still bought it. I put it up on the wall right behind the door, so that if my dad comes in, opening the door, it'll hide it >_> I'm risking this but ayy idk, I really like it
Don't worry, no problem.
Wouldn't mind living in Berlin (^_-)v
My best friend lives there... I miss him... T_T
My passion for English started with TV shows and video games ;)
My best teachers were Daria, Final Fantasy and Silent Hill ^^ Oh and GTA, of course!
After that I had a wild romance with my dictionary for a few years... (◦’ںˉ◦)
WHY???
Don't run from it! It's really good!
But, to be honest, kinda expected that most people on here would probably hate it... (^_^“)
It still deserves more love though...
That was the poster I had on my door in my teenage years:
