Seeing the magic and uh war machines and stuff, the setting reminds me of some of the movies from Ghibli Studios, seems nice. The image shows them floating/flying while holding hands/fingers intertwining

Cygames seems to be working on opening their own animation studio. That may be related.

^ Hopefully they turn it into a full anime instead of the apparent anime short format.

And since we're on the topic of Summer 2016, only Regalia, Ange Vierge, New Game, LL Sunshine, Prisma Illya 3rei and Danganronpa 3 interests me so far, everything else is either bait (apparently, Amanchu. possibly, Q-Code), pandering LN adaptations and/or generic het romance crap. Still, a better season than the previous ones though.

They're opening their own anime studio AND working on getting the Granblue anime out, so I'd give them a bit of slack to sort things out.

Even with A1 being the studio animating that.

Generally when something that was about finished is suddenly give an ETA of "who knows" and all the staff is removed this isn't a sign that you'll ever see it. I mean, it could show up later, but I wouldn't get my hopes up

I'd say the problem with this season isn't that it's bad but that most of the good stuff is kind of niche. The only real general (anime) audience show that's decent is Taboo-tattoo

Then again, it may not. I just think the timing is too convenient to completely deny the possibility.

New Game is New Game, Love Live Sunshine is heavy on the subtext, the main characters in Regalia are dating, Amanchu has subtext, and Ange Vierge is subtext-heavy. Qualidea Code either has a yuri couple or one girl with a massive crush that the other doesn't mind (they haven't gotten much focus). Tabboo Tatto has had a number of yuri moments but I'm not sure if they're just for fanservice. Macross Delta continues to have a lesbian couple in the background

New Game is fun. I'm so glad it got animated.

By now, i can safely say that no anime will ever outdo Fate/kaleid liner on animating girl-on-girl kissing. In fact I don't think any series will ever devote that much resources into the detail of ANY kissing screen. So it's probably already the best that the anime industry can offer

Lucky for me, have a big soft-spot for twincest and Illiya x Kuro is kinda one. So yeah will continue watching 3rei just for it. Don't know what is in the manga, but screw it. As far as i concern, the anime did up the yuri screen/ fan service to cloud 9 anyway.

The bro-con shit ruins atleast half of my excitement for the yuri portions, because they go the extra mile to weave both plotpoints as actually just that teensy bit more important than you would think, so that you are left wondering if there were two fractions in the studio that had to fight every week how much screentime and importance to the plot they get.

Maybe my brain just filter out all of the brocon stuff. But I don't consider the brocon (up to lastest anime episode) to be romantic in nature. Instead just attention seeking.

Even the Kuro x Illiya is also largely lust/necessary-driven at this point. But romance can easily be born out of it as showed how it got the two closer and closer, and their act get more and more intimate as the series progress. So potential for them to eventually pass into the romance line.

Unlike the brocon/siscon which is just a phase that most people will pass eventually
