Bitch finally got what she had coming for her. It's really disappointing to see Yurim become a bully herself after knowing her back story though :/

they go to a good school where bullying does not exist.

Welcome to japan where, unfortunately, a school's reputation is critically important. There's such a strive for perfection that schools cannot have anything tarnish their reputation, this includes bullying. So, the school completely ignores bullying, because if they acknowledge it it exists and leaves a stain on their record.

So yeah, this is why teachers or parents never do a thing when bullying shows up in a manga or anime.

Yeah, if my admittedly rather vague understanding of various East Asian naming conventions holds true these are most definitely Korean names not Japanese.

Mhmmm, true. Wops! The Manwhua is indeed korean in style and names, thus likely setting.

Can't say if Korea matches Japan in this ignoring bullying stuff. I could perhaps look it up later at some point.

Hey not to be "that person" but.. Is it really necessary to post PITOs comics when they're already available in English for a few dollars? I'd understand if this was a large publishing company or comic not available officially in English but PITO is working on these comics all by himself and it wouldn't hurt to support him..

This chapter still fueled my salt tbh, and admittedly I dont really resent Yurim or anything anymore and now I'm just filled with salt for everything that's going on/happening to her
And no offence meant to Soha but now I see that she's gonna swoop in like a knight in shining armour and "take down" the "bully" and wow I'm just super tilted that no one was there for her and now that she snapped, she's super fucked because unlike her assailants she made a big show of it and now looks incredibly bad to the eyes of everyone. Fuck bullying and tbh I kinda feel Yurim and it's really pissing me off cus you know that legit everything's still going downhill.
Like from Soha's pov, with what she knows and sees, it makes sense, but damn I'm just really, really annoyed. Like Yurim's behaviour and actions towards Gayoon was fucking bull too, she really let herself go but idgaf, rn, I'm really empathizing and mad at just everything.
On the other hand I do feel for the bad friend as well, I just feel. I feel her regrets but wow girl you really went and fucked up. She's a shit friend, for what she did (and gdi Yurim lashing out at her was pretty shit too) but I do have like, some form of respect for her trying to stop Yurim.

Tbh probs not, ppl seem to read them by buying the chapters themselves or something. It's probs from the salt of this chapter, having been spoiled this chapter and having been spoiled for something else from another series, but I really don't care rn. I'll take it down/stop updating it if no one's reading, I really gaf right now, and perhaps I'll stand by this opinion when others will share their thoughts about it.

Like yeah, Yurim deserved none of this shit and I do have some sympathy for her but her treatment of Gayoon means it's not really a lot of sympathy because Jesus Christ her behaviour is beyond the pale and no amount of tragic backstory will make me not despise her for it.

Well, Yurim has a point. While she was bullied by the seniors, Minji kept on wringing her hands but didn't do squat, even though it was totally her fault.

And I noticed : at no point did she apologize. She just said that it was "hard for her too" and that she didn't intend it to happen. Biggest coward of them all.

Yeah it sucks for Yurim, but I can't fully sympathize with her right now knowing she herself also began bullying weaker and younger students. There's no excuse for that. She knew how bad it was for her, so she out of everyone should be able to sympathize with Gayoon the most.

I'm thinking in the end she'll become a bully as a way to be at the "top" and not suffer from anymore harassment because everyone is scared of her. Kinda like living up to other people's expectations since they think that of her either way. "If that's what they see me as, then I'll be the delinquent they want!"

Yep. The worst one. She said she tried to stop rumors and stuff, but I think it's bullshit. If she really wanted to apologize, she would have done it after the first beating. Saying "I didn't mean it!" isn't an apology. Also in the first panel, she's laughing with her other friend's without a care in the world. If she truly did feel bad, she would probably be around Yurim feeling guilty on the sidelines. Rereading her "apology", she just turned the entire situation to her. She made herself to be the victim, not Yurim. Like how much more salt can you rub in her wounds, telling Yurim to feel sorry for her in her state. Despicable.

Yeah totes, it doesnt excuse what she laters does, I'm just really mad in general tbh. I know people aren't black and white but I'm pretty much just upset at everyone because the only people in Yurim's arc who stood out were shitty people.
I'm not sure what my opinion of Yurim is tbh. Yes she was shit with Gayoon, but I also can't stop myself from empathizing with her own period of being treated like shit. It's a weird, mixed feeling, to feel empathy for both her and Gayoon. People being treated like shit in general is kinda... it feels strange. It feels strange that sometimes it feels okay because they were shit to other people. Ofc you can't excuse how she later behaves but it really perplexes me, that somehow it's okay because they do shit too, therefore shit that happens to them is like, justified or something. It kinda weirds me out. I think I'm okay with feeling sympathy for her.
Yurim feels like an anti hero or something to me rn. Regarding solely her arc, you can tell that she's trying to hold herself to certain standards, but you also see that it's hard for her and that she's really wearing down, until she finally snaps. Considering the series as a whole, you can't forget that she was a complete sadistic douche and behaves rather mercilessly. Idr if there was a name or title for a character like that, one that starts off alright, but kinda degrades as time and events pass. Anyways, considering everything, I just don't really hate her rn. Like yeah I get that it's the point of a "tragic backstory" and considering that it's the point, it feels dumb to sympathize cus it's like the author's leading you by the nose but I guess it's just really not it's that important to me tbh. Currently she isn't fucking around with Gayoon and that's fine by me. I think I accept her as a flawed and angry character, someone that's more deeply involved with the story, and as long as she doesn't start shit with Gayoon again, I'm okay with her.

There is a like less than 0% chance she is not gonna start shit with Gayoon again. She's a pathological abuser who revels in exerting power over her victim in order to compensate for her own abuse and feelings of powerlessness and it's very clear that she's picked Gayoon as that victim.

Well, I do sympathize with Yurim.

I think she held back a long time, tried to be a grown up and so didn't fight back. When you do martial arts at a certain level, you're not supposed to use it against a layperson and she stuck to that. Given the amount of pride she has, it was a huge effort.

But there's only so much shit you can take when you know you have the capacity to make it stop.

She almost got killed, or crippled by those seniors, who did all this sneakily, by proxy. And then there's this ex-"friend", who comes and says "it was hard for me too, even though it's my fault you went through hell while I was laughing merrily".

Her only error is probably to not have destroyed that senior in the toilets. When you bow to the bullies once, they never let their prey go.

I take it you haven't read the most recent chapter because this has gone from "lashing out in retaliation for abuse" to "abusing people for the sake of sadistic pleasure."

I also sympathize for what happened. Those events in particular.
As for the person in general, considering the last chapter... Tbh I'm getting chills. Like, in a good way. I just find it really interesting, character development-wise like, whoa. The loss of the morals she was trying to uphold is disappointing indeed, as a person, but it just feels really fascinating to me, observing her as a character. The story of her moral downfall.
