I think at this point whenever I watch an anime with an all female cast that isn’t slice of life I’m just going to expect it to end with a lesbian ascending to godhood.

When i first watch the anime, i couldn't stand the lewdness and stupidness. But as the story progress, i grew to love the characters and become quite interested in the story. In the end, i am sad to see VDM ended. But at east they left it open ended. Happy, but several thing seems like not yet resolved.

In a way, VDM reminded me to Cross Ange. Both of them are a wild ride, but if you stick to the end it's somewhat satisfying and fun.

I forgot to ask before but someone knows how far Bhikkhuni goes? Does it have any couple at all or stay just in fanservice?

There are not official couples per se but still the yuri content is quite high. All the girls in the cast develop crushes on each other, CGs are quite yuri and the little relationship scenes between the characters are a treat.

Ranka deserves an special mention, she's so into her sis that at one point she thinks Rinka is proposing and she lets slip that she has completely planned their wedding AND honeymoon.

I know right? VD was different regarding the fanservice than a lot of ecchi shows.
I mostly avoid watching this genre because the way the characters are usually handled are similar to hentai, although showing less. But VD gave life to the characters, they weren't handled like simple pieces of flesh like a lot of ecchi shows do.
And they put thought to the couples, they weren't there just for the fanservice. But it felt like it ended too soon and all the fanarts are the closest we will get from it probably

I imported the game and it has English trophies so... I don't know why there is no English (Asian) release at all.

If they are gonna localize it, let me know before I sink money on DLC.

Sure the game doesn't has the high octane yuri of the anime but is still pretty damn yuri on its own, specially for a mainstream product. Ranka is one of the biggest (if no the biggest) siscon in media, you have honest to god kisses and while you can pair all the girls with each other that is just a gameplay convenience; the narrative actually bothers on develop specific pairings (Rinka/Ranka, Viola/Koharu, Momo/Mana)
