Classmates were bullying her, cos she is half animal. Standard you are different bs. I can imagine people mocking someone like that in real life (when we would want to pet them instead). Still, the story was cute and had few nice awww moments. Well the relationship was pretty much only implied, as Makato was the only one to not discriminated Shiho and treat her as normal person. For what we got I liked it (being cat person probably helps a lot ;x).
