Skimmed through it, and found it quite boring, tbh.
This art and plot kinda sucks imo.
random fucking here and there, On the art - It's rather plain, and when the sexy-time kicks in, it's somewhat dodgy, it looks more... grotesque than sexy.
From what I've gathered from my reading experience, the characters are mysterious and overall, WDTFS is for the “mature” audience, people who are able to accept the complexity of relationships and such. Shit doesn't make sense sometimes when it comes to love and relationships and whatnot. Sex however? Simple, makes sense. That's why I don't think the sex scenes are unnecessary. Rather, they add to the story really, more of an adult scandalous feel and tbh, kind of angsty. Sumin seems disinterested in a few sex scenes, her face portraying less emotion in contrast of her flashback sex scenes. Since the recent chapters aren't translated yet, a lot of readers haven't grasped the past information that Sumin and Seju hold. Took me some time too
Tbh, I can’t seem to dislike any of the characters that much. Even Seju, who is ranked rather low in terms of votes, isn’t really that bad of a character. Of course, the story’s just recently began exploring more of the characters' intentions so I can’t say for sure. For Sumin, you either pity her or you’re frustrated with her lol. But you're still able to like her somehow.
Sungji however is an absolute angel all around.
As for quality, the background images are computer generated so sometimes it can be a little weird to see the drawn characters on them. But the whole point of this manhwa is to focus on the characters' depth so I don’t really mind.
I think the story is charming. People say it’s “typical” but it’s way better than most of the school girls yuri stories we get to see all the time. I've only really loved a few of these school girl centric mangas. It's refreshing to see another adult portrayal of lesbian loving.
Hate to say it but WDTFS is like a yuri korean drama, and we all know those are hella addicting. It might seem shitty to some but hell, we still read it anyway. There's something about it.
WDTFS is most definitely a slow burn type of story, in my opinion.

^ Uh yea, I get it. Still boring.
Kind of weird to hear people call it so meh after all the fuss it caused. Don't think the arts grotesque really, but what I've seen is okay-ish, not great. Gets points mostly from colouring I think.
Most of the fuss here was ppl arguing. Or how to get into the sites, etc...
"I would kill for more stories with adults."
Story with adults comes around
"This isn't the story I wanted at all. 0/10"
I want entertaining stories with adults, :p

That's what I mean, with all the clamour to access it and people going "eh", it's kind of anticlimactic.
Three S names bug me though. Throw an M in there or something.
*On re-reading, I just feel I should say, no S&M joke was intended.

"Yuri korean drama" Now that is something I would pay for.
Good analogy

And the enthusiasm I had for this webtoon was gone

Trust me, it's not as bad as it seems, especially compare to some actual korean dramas out there lol. The formatting of it however is similar.

I just hope the fact a major selling point of this whole thing was its comparison to porn is not reflective of the series as a whole.
Like...I was gonna get it; but if that's the marketing strategy I'm gonna get cold feet. Most (key word most) stories that can be compared to porn in any way usually don't have much story. Which is fine, but I won't invest money as well as time into it.

Can anyone please tell me how many chapters have been officially translated? From what I know only 4 chapters have been translated to English through the script and I can only hope that I didn't go through all that trouble only to stop at chapter 4. =(

Right now, the overlays (which allow you to read in English the chapters on Lezhin's website) are done for Chapter 1 to Chapter 4.
However, keep in mind that the actual translations for all chapters have already been done by halmoni.
What's left is the creation of the overlays for those remaining chapters, which involve editing and typesetting by kyra and quality checking (QC) by jrdp_18.
To give you an idea of the release schedule or release speed, here are the release dates so far:
2015-06-21 - Chapter 1
2015-06-26 - Chapter 2 & Chapter 3
2015-07-02 - Chapter 4
So it's roughly one release a week, and it looks like some releases might even be 2 chapters.
Pretty good, I'd say, as most manga series have release schedules that are measured in months.

Domo. I'll take your word for it.
Hi I was wondering why the overtone is kinda off on WDTFS (chapter 1) the overtone is shifted in the wrong place and blurry or cut off as well. I'm currently using Firefox

Even Seju, who is ranked rather low in terms of votes, isn’t really that bad of a character.
may i ask what vote you refer to, I always think seju is a pretty popular character among the readers.

Not after what happened in chapter 11.
Seju is not a bad character. She may be scheming (I can't blame her for that, being in that environment she is in), but she is pretty devoted to Sumin. Author already said she is not somebody who sleeps around like Sumin. That night was a result of a judgmental mistake. Unfortunately, she is being condemned by many because of one mistake made under the influence of alcohol, not to mention the reason why she drank so heavily was all because of Sumin. And 10 years of devotion is nothing compared to that one mistake.
If Sumin is going to leave her for Sungji, it is all better for Seju. She might as well go find somebody who knows why there is a need to treasure her.

Chapter 5 Release

kyra note
Ok guys, as Nez-chan already said, this forum will be for discussion about releases as well as troubleshooting technical aspects of getting access to chapters
So people like Satus and flips with their
this webtoon sux lawlz
should watch themselves. It's fine if you don't enjoy the content, or a character, or a plot element. Just don't go shitting all over this thread again and discouraging potential readers from purchasing the series.
Also, I and some other readers (probably?) would appreciate it if you put spoiler tags around discussion of chapters which have yet to be released. We'll catch up pretty soon, yourself (or possibly me) can edit them once those chapters have been released.

It's because the raw and overlay files are incompatible. You have to unlock the HD version of the chapter for them to work. If you're interested, go back a few pages.
I've only skimmed this serie so I can't say anything about the plot, but what makes me tick a little bit is how the males are portrayed, and especially how they are "standing". I don't know how to explain, but the way they "pose" looks unnatural to me (or very unattractive ^^). I suppose that since it is a yuri, it's maybe on purpose and males are goofballs?
@snowangel526
can you submit a screenshot?
Doonge
The question has already been answered before. It's caused by incompatible raw and overlay files. The user was trying to access overlays which are 1024px wide on raw files which are 720px wide.
Issue is addressed on this post

I knew I wasn't the only one who liked Seju... Halmoni I got a lot of questions for you because my Korean is horrible. And I can't ask them here cause I don't want to spoil it for anybody.
I really like Seju as a character if you can't tell from my display picture and I hate it when people degrade her by calling her a hoe just because of chapter 11. I've read all the translations until chapter 16 and it hasn't been concluded why she slept with the bartender. For all we know she could've been tricked into it and whatnot seeing as she's not into men, and the fact that she was under the influence and lonely as she thinks Sumin blames her for the death of her parents plus not getting any action for a month is recipe for disaster (not condemning cheating if someone doesn't get any action, just pointing out Seju's circumstances)
Seju ain't perfect but she ain't, as some may say, a hoe.
Edit: Might I just add, for those saying this webtoon sux because of what they've seen so far (like chapter 1), IMO the first chapter was the flimsiest chapter but the plot and everything picks up at chapter 2.

I too am on team Seju, I like her as a character. I think she has more to offer Sumin then Sungji ever will, even when certain plot details are revealed in later chapters.
First of all, they've been together since high-school. It's also strongly implied that Sumin got promoted/got to where she is now with a bit of help from Seju. She also genuinely cares about Sumin and if you've read the chapters, you get the vibe that Seju cares about Sumin a lot more. Sumin acts cold and disinterested and is even cruel towards Seju. I think it's Sumin that's using Seju as a sexual outlet rather than the other way around. Yet Seju still stays and has done so for more than 10 years. That says something.
I have nothing against Sungji, she's cute, nice innocent. I even called her a beautiful cinnamon roll and all but she doesn't hold a candle to Seju's devotion in my opinion. I don't think what Seju has already offered and what she will be willing to offer is worth throwing away even if there are a few unfortunate mistakes.
on the topic of chapter 11 and the cheating, I said something before and I firmly stand by it. I think people treat cheaters even worse than criminals these days. At least for criminals people still believe in rehabilitation. Cheaters aren't even afforded that. 'Once a cheat, always a cheater', a rather cruel and unforgiving mindset. Yes Seju made a mistake but it seems like a one-off thing unlike Sumin who has had multiple relationships.
I'm not saying you should always forgive cheaters but still, we don't know the full circumstances behind it so it's too soon to pass judgement. In addition to that, from what we've seen so far, Sumin was emotionally (and most likely but less importantly) and physically unavailable for over a month.
She also threw away their plans that must've taken quite a while to plan out. She also seemed to be throwing their relationship into the bin with the whole ring affair. Arguably both sides overreacted a little but the point still stands
That coupled with the enormous guilt Seju must've felt because Sumin's parents' death was indirectly caused by her. Add some alcohol and angst to the mix and can you really not sympathise? I guess some people won't because "het-shit" or whatever but still, I hope Seju and Sumin can still work things out unless there's a much more heinous backstory behind the cheating that convinces me to switch completely to Team Sungji
Concerning the story:
I think it is an "okay" read.
The story is a little bit slow and not very deep or surprising. But the drawing style ist different enough to keep me interrested (also full colour, yay!). :)
The age-gap is a little weird.
They all look like in their early 20s and even in flashbacks they look exactly the same. But meh...
Concerning this whole procedure:
That said, will those chapters stay up? I don't see the need for having the troll chapter up, in any case.
The current chapter 1 will stay, because it was free in the first place from what I gather.
I don't think it matters legaly what people had to pay for it.
Even if it was for free, the author / publisher still holds all the rights to the material. Thus republishing it without their permission is still illegal. :)
Also guys, what is all this drama about?
Edit: Don't talk about future chapters by /u/ here. It's not encouraged.
