I read these elsewhere I like the two MC... But the start of the first chapter makes it seem like she's marrying a guy? Or literally someone else. So I'm kinda cautious to read this I more hope with these lines here:

"My best friends big day. What a gorgeous dress!"

I mean is her big day that she's finally able to wear a dress and not feel bad for the scars on her legs? However she did say best friend so again it makes it seemed like these two aren't gonna get together so it's a bit harder to invest in them.

It does seem like just a friendship between the two MCs. I guess they'll learn how to appreciate wearing what is unconventional for them which is not enough of a hook to keep me interested.

I kept meaning to read that one, starting it and liking it, then forgetting it until i remember it month later, restarting it. Not being able to read it for whatever reason etc. Guess i'll finally just read it now.

Brings me back to when I wore pants all through childhood and then on highschool I switched to skirts. Still love both but the pants thing in childhood is particularly a fond unique memory. Definitely did feel like switching to skorts/skirts in highschool felt better for me but I still enjoy pants. Funny how childhood development works into making certain things feel comfortable or not

it IS cute, but the cultural difference here is really staggering. when i was still in school, we didn't have uniforms, but basically everyone was in jeans. skirts/dresses often feel kinda formal for everyday wear, and tbh it's only as an adult that i've branched out into wearing them regularly (mostly for comfort reasons, because almost every pair of pants i've ever worn would dig into my ribcage). i've never even associated them with gender
