And my subscriptions list says it has 21 groups, but there are only 20 in there.

Could you rename Iroha x Yachiyo to Iroha x Yachiyo (Madoka Magica)? The other one is already called Iroha x Yachiyo (Cosmic Princess) but this could additionally help in avoiding confusion.

i've asked this before, but can we please have separate tags for the different imas branches? like i'd be more than happy to submit tag corrections on all of it so it'd be properly sorted, however many hours/days that'd take me. as someone who only likes 765AS and is whatever on every other branch, it's really annoying.

There exists a mostly empty Rin x Satori Pairing tag whilst everything else on them is under Satori x Rin. (Normally pairings are in alphabetical order, so I suppose you need to merge & rename or smth idk.)

Raru Buran, also known as hakumai 0807 is notably a shipper of Nagi x Nono in the iM@S CG fandom, with one of their works uploaded here, but is listed as a separate artist. Is it possible to merge these author tags?

Since the site will never get a update to mark what we read could we at least get some official script for that? There was a script made by a user but it broke after a update that stopped showing chapter as a single giant list, it's the kind of feature that we really need

Can we have tag bigotry created for stuff that features explicit homophobia, biphobia and others, like this?

I've been thinking about the recent debates on this site over whether to interpret certain manga as being about transness when the manga isn't explicit about it. I agree with this post by @Wiwaxia that these arguments are quite similar to arguments about whether a work is Yuri or Subtext. I think part of the problem here (though certainly not the entirety of it) is that there isn't a widely-agreed upon "Trans Subtext" tag like there is for yuri subtext.

I propose that the recently created Ambiguous gender tag be used for this purpose. Essentially, we should use it for manga where a major character can be plausibly interpreted as trans but this isn't explicitly stated in the narrative, such as Momiji and Kouyou or The Guy She Likes is a #CrossdressingBoy. This is a subjective judgment, of course, but whether or not a work is Yuri or Subtext is also fairly subjective so that's only to be expected. In cases where the manga contains a romance with a clearly female character (like in the above two), I propose that we include neither the Het nor the Yuri tag but just the Romance one. I believe this is a compromise that most users of this site can at least live with.

I agree with all of these proposals. I think this is the best way going forward and oftentimes (using both of these works as examples) engagement with a work benefits when readers don't just limit their understanding of a character read to just "assigned sex with a presentation change on top" in every case but understand that the intention of a lot of these works is to look beyond a character's "assigned sex" in the first place, i.e. if someone believes "trans" is too "concrete" a label this is also true for "cis gnc" being too "concrete" a label. Ambiguous gender makes ambiguous sex/gender itself and captures all of these experiences. It can also operate alongside Cross-dressing and Transgender tags rather than being replacements for them.

A lot of the strife being caused is from the word choice people decide to use. I see a lot of "this is X" instead of "this feels like X to me." I also see a lot of responses to people who say how they feel that are completely unnecessary and trying to undermine their interpretation. Neither is productive and both lead to pointless arguments.

this seems like a very elegant solution to the issue, i like it

Yes, I completely agree. Much like yuri itself often deliberately plays around in the vague space both between and beyond "friendship" and "romance," works such as these are often consciously playing around with gender/sex to make a point about how vague the boundaries between "male" and "female" really are. See also for example Prunus Girl, another manga that probably deserves the Ambiguous gender tag come to think of it.

Well, again, that's not too dissimilar from the fights people have gotten into over Yuri vs Subtext. Certainly I got into some passionate arguments about green yuri back in the day lol. Now I do think the trans interpretation debates tend to be more intense than the yuri vs subtext debates, and I don't think establishing a usage for the Ambiguous gender tag will totally fix that, but I do think it would help by framing the terms of the debate: that gender identity is ambiguous in the work in question, so it's a matter of discussing competing interpretations.

I really like this proposal, actually.

I don't like how that link now leads to a post from me, but I'm glad the one it originally linked to is gone.

I submitted an artist as 々 because that kanji is unreadable on its own, but it looks like it is sometimes called "Noma":
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E3%80%85

So I think it might be safe to use that

Edit: in case anyone cares to know, the reason why that kanji is unreadable on its own is because it just repeats the reading of the previous kanji. So 人々 is hitobito for example.
