Either this turn's into a great or decent manga with a trans character and questionable word uses or a weird manga telling that lesbians are just women with bad experience and they just need the correct man to fix them, and trans woman are actually men with hidden motives, I'm gonna keep my eye on it but if it the latter I'm dropping it, hopping for the best because God is it hard to find trans rep

That's an understatement lol.

Here's my view: this is fundamentally a silly romcom that's playing with some fairly explosive subject matter, which means it's hardly going to be a perfect exploration of gender and sexuality. However, there are a few elements that give me some optimism.

First, Konno never actually self-identifies as a lesbian, which lessens the potential lesbophobic vibes of the premise; at the same time, she shows literally zero interest in Kouyou as a guy while being super into "him" as a girl, which makes it less likely imo that the manga will end with Kouyou just being a totally manly cis man.

Second, even more importantly, Kouyou/Momiji is totally and completely upfront about what they're doing instead of lying to Konno and pretending to be a stranger (which is what I initially assumed was going to happen). This, along with them sincerely apologizing for everything bad they did in the past, makes the character come across as not a creep/predator, even as the concept of transfemininity is more or less just used comedically here.

Again I'm not expecting a deep and considered exploration of transfemininity in this manga, it's just a silly romcom at the end of the day, but I am legitimately curious to see where it goes from here. It reminds me a lot of this manga, and to avoid making this comments section a complete shitshow like what that thread became, I will avoid getting into prolonged arguments this time.

honestly I found the first chapter quite cute, and aside from using the term "dickgirl" it feels pretty fluffy. Like @cogito said, Momiji was honest from the very start and openly apologized, so there's a lot less creep factor here. The insistence on using Momiji vs Koutou also felt pretty genuinely transfem coded too, so I'm definitely excited for more.

I am curious if this is a full time thing, or if they are gonna keep it a secret at school

I think the premise sucks, but I just dislike crossdressing plots like this in manga so I'm definitely biased. Oh well, the girl is cute, I like how big her boobs are.

No sorry, there's a line I will never cross as yuri goes, but this is not even yuri despite the tag used incorrectly here since the other party is 100% biological boy, hell he only crossdresses as a girl just to make a girl fall for him who isn't into guys as it seems.
A conversion manga where a girl who is into girls falls for a crossdressing boy (no dickgirl/futanari of any way like the title implies which is also false premise cause futa is a girl who gets a penis and not a crossdressing boy) is just plainly a joke on lesbianism, author must really hate girls who are in love with girls with such premies of a story where he feels a need to force a guy into it like this to make it basically a straight converted couple.
This is a homophobic story on author side of a worst category, not something even controversial, but plain evil and it's really sad to see it being tagged as yuri here where we know it's 100% guy in equation and other girl will be converted to be into him as he crossdresses. Enough said.

And a trans girl who is somewhat sensitive about trans issues, I find this funny in its patent ridiculousness and am saving some specific panels for tactical usage as needed. To each their own.

Does NOT matter what the setting is it just needs to feature love involving (at least) two women. Transgender women are women too.

Thing is this is not transgender woman, this is a guy who intentionally crossdressed to get with a girl who rejected him multiple times when he looked like a guy and gave her trauma so it is a conversion story not of a guy transitioning into a girl but a girl falling for crossdressing guy where the girl has infamous trauma of hating men joke.

So it is not Yuri but Het series fully. I know moderators won't fix the tags sadly but I suggested it anyway.

idk the author's plans for this but in the real world u don't become girl just to get girl. that's terf shit. dickgirl is cringe but pretty common for reppers. the conclusions being jumped to after 1 chapter are p funny. hope he comes out :)
