Indeed. Probably the most important feature in any forum and it's missing on this one.

smdc released the batch translation of "Kiss Shite Sawatte Motto Shite" by Amanagi Seiji (with both hetero and yuri stories). other than grammatical errors, and typos, there may still be some fixes in there(?).

http://smdc-translations.com/blog/amanagi-seiji-kiss-shite/

here is a mediafire fire with the yuri stories only if anyone is interested.

EDIT

I forgot to add the extra/special for Wanko Special!, fixed the file or you can download the separate one with the author's extra.

Have the site be HTTPS, at the very least during login.

I'm seeing 3 broken thumbnail links on the home page; I've also seen several broken links to avatars (not just bluedrop's avatar). Is something going on? Or is the problem at my end?

Might be a DNS resolution issue.

If you're using Chrome, you can try clearing Chrome's DNS cache.
Type "chrome://net-internals/#dns" (without the quotation marks) in the address bar and hit Enter.
On that page, click "Clear host cache".

Might solve it immediately or might take a few moments and/or a Chrome restart.

If this doesn't work, then you can try clearing the DNS cache in Windows.

Click the Start button, then type "cmd", then press Enter to open the Command Prompt.
In the Command Prompt, type "ipconfig /flushdns".

I am using Chrome. I tried doing both of those including restarting Chrome, but it's still doing it. As a cross check, I tried using Internet Explorer, and the thumbnails loaded correctly with that browser, so it must be at my end. Later, I'll try flushing Chrome's DNS cache again and then immediately reboot and see what that does.

Edit: Clearing it and rebooting didn't work. If the problem doesn't get worse, then I can just ignore it. But it'd be nice if I could fix it.

Last ditch effort:
Try clearing the browser cache. (Shouldn't usually cause persistent problems like this though.)

Ctrl Shift Delete
Obliterate the following items from: the beginning of time
ONLY have "Cached images and files" checked; UNCHECK everything else.
Click "Clear browsing data".

That fixed it. Thanks anonymous.

Edit: I had forced it to reload the affected pages a few times and I thought that usually fixes browser cache issues, but I guess not this time.

Glad that worked. Didn't think it would (but thought, oh what the hey), because again, browser cache issues aren't usually persistent, i.e., doing a regular page reload should get the latest resources.

I almost never experience image oddities due to browser cache, mostly always due to DNS issues.

*shrug* Computers.

Another minor suggestion:

Outputting the year in post history, as there is no way to know what year the post was made in.

Date time format in post history:
28 Apr 15:50

Actually, while we're at it, why not make it the same as the format used in threads, for consistency?

To compare:

Date time format in threads:
April 28, 2015 3:50PM

Date time format in post history:
28 Apr 15:50

I don't really see any reason why the formats are that different.

OK, I might understand that we have a long date time format and a short date time format, and we use the long or short one depending on the space available on that page. However, that doesn't explain why one is "full-month-name date, year time-in-AM/PM-format" while the other is "date short-month-name time-in-24-hour-format".

Furthermore, I don't think space is way more limited in post history than in threads to the point that we need to use a shorter date time format there. So my personal suggestion is simply to make them to same full format.

The only issue I have is how easy it would be to do it manually, if you're quoting more than one person in a comment. Hopefully any design would keep that in mind.

There are a few tags I can't search for.
For example I know that " Magazine: Yuri Hime" and "Magazine: Yuri Hime Wildrose" are valid tags since all the respective issues are tagged with it and the search machine does work with the tag but it doesn't appear in the "With Tags" box. http://dynasty-scans.com/search?q=&with[]=4873&sort=

Also the fact that you can't restrict searches to only One Shots like you can when you click on a tag.

It can be a bit odd at times, but it does/should appear when you type it in:

I still think magazine tags should be treated like authors, so you could click on them and see thumbnails of all of that magazine's issues...

oh ok, I have to type the whole thing. kinda confusing.
Anyway, Thanks.

True, that would make it a lot more comfortable to navigate.

I have an upcoming doujin release that includes a color art section with art from fourteen different artists including the main artist. Also, 3 or 4 of the artists do not yet have any material on this site. When I upload this, should I list all fourteen artists (quite a list), or just the main artist? If just the main one, how would I connect the other 13 to their art?

One thought I had was to make it two releases, the color art section, and the rest of the doujin. That way just the main artist would be on the chapter (which actually has two stories, so it could be split 3 ways even) while all fourteen would be on the art section. That still has that big list on that section and I don't know if I really want to split it that way

Just list the main artist for the release. Single images in a doujin/story aren't significant enough for a credit, only if they do a backup story or short manga for it.

It's not worth it to split it, as the long list of authors would still be present and still not really worth tagging for individual images. If you really wish to credit them, you could make the first post in the forum thread for the release a post linking/crediting the artists. Although do they have credits in the doujin itself? If so, it's probably fine as it is.

All 13 guest artists are listed on the back cover. In addition, each piece of art (they're at the front, all fantastic and detailed like commissioned artwork, not just a simple black and white image at the back) has the artist's name in a bottom corner, so you can definitely see who did what. When I upload it, I'll go ahead and list them in a post in the forum and include links to any with material on this site.

Edit: Though it would be nice to have links to those images on the artists' pages. They include several of the better liked artists on this site, including my personal top 3 favorites.

Can you search through the forums? Cause if there is a way I haven't found it, and if indeed you can't will it be hard to implement a search function for the forum?

Put "site:dynasty-scans.com" at the beginning of a Google search, that should do the trick. I agree a text search function for the forums would be great though, and much more user-friendly.

That works yeah, but I don't search through the forums that much to remember it xD

Still thanks :] I don't know how hard would be to include it, since it seems it's not the typical type of forum which was phpbb?
