Mizuki is a type I really can't stand. Girl, you're an adult, learn to ask for what you want. That whole embarrassed dynamic just does nothing for me.

But I do think she's good for Ren in figuring things out. I don't think she'll be happy in this relationship, but that doesn't mean it's a bad relationship to have.

I now have no idea what the narrative direction of this story is, but that's okay.

I feel these kind of stories were more popular in 90's and 2000's where a person begins exploring their sexuality by having multiple partners and getting together more on a whim then actually being in love. Kinda like the L Word where all the relationships are messy and tangled. Ren has only just begun to find out she enjoys women so its not unusual for her to have a fling and then after realizing her first lesbian crush has someone already she ends up in the first relationship she found online.

Were they popular in the 90s and 2000s in manga though? I don't think we can compare Western Adult television to yuri manga trends in Japan. Like, I haven't read too much of this dynamic in any manga, straight or gay. They exist for sure, but they're not common.

This was cute but I really wanted her first time to be with the person she actually has feelings for.. Oh well this manga is clearly just gonna be a giant ball of angst and drama and every chapter is gonna just try to up the angsty counter every time.

Their were already four people supposed to be involved here from the cover art now theirs a fifth? It's a bit much tbh.

On the cover, we don't actually see any detail of the person to the right of our main girl. It could very well be that the hand caressing her hair are all of the girls who are not Sui. It's possible Ms. Pharmacist is no longer relevant to the story, and that her purpose was served.

I'd rather she remain relevant, though. I like her.

Hey Reina gets to explore her sexuality (topping for the first time and enjoying it!) and new girl gets to date someone who actively tries to be considerate of her. Win-win!
The first-night hook up is still my favorite, but Reina just doesn't seem to be into her, so oh well.

there's way more clues too

• ren doesn't drink and mizuki notes that bc her friend can't drink she used to always drink alone
• ren picked up a shrine stamp collecting habit bc of her "friend" and in mizuki's dating profile, she notes that she has a shrine stamp collecting interest
• also her hair matches the mysterious lady on the cover
