I only read the first book of music of the soul, might read june later, since its about Mandy's daughter, i guess.

Rain i tried reading. I got about half way through when i got bored. It started feeling tedious to me. It's not a bad story, i just lost interest.

If it's anything like the other in terms of character insertion, you'll have all if not most of the characters from the previous books. The main one from Girl Next Door is the daughter of Penny Franklin and her love interest is friends with one of the characters from A Deafening Whisper.

No problem. I lost interest in countless series myself. I just find it well written with good comedy. Although it does get pretty heavy on drama half way through.

I generally have a low opinon of fanfics, but i am really loving this hermoine x luna story! Luna was always my favourite, first time she appeared in the books i instantly liked her.

And i havent read any of the other music of the soul books yet, but girl next door sounds rather interesting.

Yeah, Crazy Little Things is really tender and Girl Next Door is like that a little. Or at least, they are really physically close to each other.

So Lost Girl kills off both Hale and Kenzi? That's really fucking stupid. Like, really fucking stupid. I don't even know.

About Lost Girl:
Kenzi is going to return for the final few eps. I just dont know in what manner.
I wasnt going to pick it up again when i heard she had left, but someone told me it was temporary.

Just finished girl next door, and i think im done with this series. They are too formulaic. One girls disabled, one or both are talented and successful, they're rich or have famous parents, The MCs are basically the same character.

Bleh. Are Harlequin romance novel like this? lol

The stories themselves aren't bad, the endings are sweet and you get the sense they really are in love, but the variation is too little.

Shame, I like the lightness of it. Guess I've read too much Elsanna fics for that to phase me (200+). I kind of agree on the same-ness of the characters and kind of not. I take it as by the end they become happy and they're character is gonna naturally be like that, every character has her perks though. 4-5 books out of the 13 they're not disabled. And it's just the world the author has made, with all the connections and such.

What do you mean by Harlequin romance novels?

Also I know I'm defending them, I just like them a lot xD Guess I'm tired of the angst/drama filled stuff I read. Gotta get my cavities. But if you want additional things to say that are repetitive, they always meet 20-30 pages in the book (the main characters) there is only one big argument/falling out followed by them not interacting for 20-30 pages (exception is Music of the Soul so far) and it's almost always because of miscommunication

Also you should read Wolfsbane Winter if you haven't yet. That'll be more up your alley. Half a book until they meet xD

Harlequins are VERY formulaic. That's the trouble with romance novels in general though, you need a writer with a deft hand at creating characters in order to make them work, and a lot of writers don't have that and go by the numbers instead. There are good romance authors out there (Georgia Beers, Karin Kallmaker, etc.) there are a lot of cookie-cutter romances with the drawbacks you mentioned.

I enjoyed SGVY and Misfile, anything else along those lines?

I don't know any other like that, but if you look at webcomics in Gender Bender on TV Tropes you probably find other you'll like, if you find one good I would like to know.

About SGVY, Yuuki still want to be a man again? Is Yuuki x Chiaki already happening or still in that love triangle with Taki?

Yuuki wants to be a man again, though he also gets dolled up and goes on a date with that dude... Nothing's really happened between any of them though yet.

Dolled up? I'm not sure I get it, he feels some attraction to Taki and goes on a date with him or someone forces him? What you think, any chance of Yuuki ending with Taki or it's obvious he's there just for drama and probably end with Chiaki?

He gets Chiaki to help him do makeup and stuff, then goes out for dinner with Taki. I'd say it could go either way, Taki makes him blush quite a bit more.

Hum, is the romance good at least? Gender bender romance tend to suck when the guy turned girl end with a guy, still worth even if end with Yuuki x Taki? And that's going to be my last post about this so thanks for the spoilers.

Huh, apparently there's a lesbian themed comic called Idolon. Never heard of it before, but it looks all right. Looks like girls' school setting, but at least it's not pretending to be manga.

Thanks to the small wonders of the human brain I have another piece that might interest you that came randomly back to me:

When she was bad

It's a ''supervillian'' origin story with the lesbian in the lead role (it sounds worse than it is, promised), who gains firepowers and goes all G4ngST@r on town, ocassionally getting stopped by her incompetent superhero counterpart who is.... okay, I will not bullshit you, I remember almost nothing of it anymore, I was surprised this series actually survived it's breeding stage, I expected it to be abandonded after all these years, but appaerently there is rapid progress, the art is clunky, the motivations are cheesy and I haven't read anything beyond the 6th chapter I think but I remember it for filling the comic lesbian void Yu+me left at the time and I just love Superhero style stories

When was bad could be worse in its art; it could look like it was done in ms paint lol.

Another for the list: Sappho's Fables, by elora bishop and jennifer demier.
Its a collection of three retold fairy tales: Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Hansel and Gretel. They are all really really good, and not what you would expect.

Jenny's Wedding wasn't bad. It was a little sweet and a little funny. Especially Jenny's sister going on and on about dead grass lol.
The oddest part of the ending was they had a single black girl among the guests. She never showed up at any other point. It was like "we're not racist, see, we have a black person in the cast!" It was a little off-putting.

So how gay is Black Swan ending wise?

About... zero, I guess? To elaborate a little: yes, there is gay attraction on it. But no, this movie is not about romance. Romance (and/or Nina's attraction to Mila Kunis' character) isn't the focus of the conflicts.
