until the extra, I really sympathized with the older MC. being in what I assume was a long term relationship only to have your partner leave really sux. but i suppose as the title suggests, it is only a junction from one path in life to another one. more so, I thought it was interesting that Nakamura-sensei kept referring to the rings throughout the story. their symbolism of unity and oneness juxtaposed against a place that literally is an intersection of comings and goings. kinda odd and yet fitting don't you all think?
