This is one of my all time favorites, and I keep coming back to it, time and time again. I think it's partially because of how well the setting is evoked - the quiet, rainy day, the empty house...the story is simple but the emotions and thoughts feel authentic, and the artwork is also exceptional in my eyes. I've read so many over the years, but this one is truly special to me.

Hahaha... Yeah... The mood was perfect and everything, and it didn't need that extra something to make it work.

This manga should be tagged HISTORICAL sense it looks about 1930s-1940s.

I'm glad it ended the way it did. I thought it would end with Akane dying. So happy with this ending instead.
