@Lilliwyt I'm messing with you. I agree it can still be friendship, but it also is very easily shipable and the experience they had could easily lead to romantic feelings. If they were boy and girl instead of 2 girls, I bet everyone would say they dated and nobody would ever question it (man, I really hate that double standard). Especially considering the kind of live megucas live leads to them bonding more strong with other megucas over their shared experience/fate, Yachiyo and Mifuyu could easily develop feelings for each other, even if they'd never acknowledge them and just treat them as a matter of fact/thought it was still just friendship, but as you said, technically, nothing is confirmed.

@Sakura Cartelet Yes Rika and yes I know her whole deal. Ren was my favorite girl when I first started playing and I rolled her banner and I ship her hard with Rika and lucky for me game pretty much made her and Ren canon so. Also I'm not sure what you tried to imply with spoiler portion.

@Nevri The spoilered part was from Rika's side story which details her wish and how she reacted after finding out what it really did to her beloved (who was not Ren at the time). She also talks with Hinano about this and Hinano consoles her (like a good big or in her case "little sister" would). I don't have Ren in my party so I have no opinion on Ren's side story which according to the wiki is a continuation of Rika's.

@EvelineClariss I don't think the mods will get too mad since we're discussing Magia Record ships, characters relationships (whether they are romantic, sexual, or otherwise) and how they relate to this image. Maybe anyway?

@Sakura Cartelet I know. I read it xD I just am not sure what you were trying to say by mentioning it. Also I don't really think telling backstories are spoilers. And we spoiled half of the main story from the game already.

Mods shouldn't get mad until we actually start insulting each other etc. Since we keep it civil, it should be fine, then again walls of text aren't really place in comments, but from experience I know it only happened because it's here. If we try taking it somewhere else, the discussion will die immediately.

Oh, something fun to mention, is that our friendly neighborhood adjuster Mitama actually ships certain pairings, including Rika & Ren(visible in Mitama's own personal training story), and Masara & Kokoro(outright calling the two of them out on being too dense to understand their own feelings at the end of Masara's personal story), and considering how Mitama's adjusting works, there is a good chance that she understands how these girls feel better than they do themselves.

Oh, oh, oh! Since we are talking RikaRen, while this doesn't progress their arcs in any particular way, there is a very touching scene in chapter 8 of the main story where, shortly after learning the truth about Witches, Rika is kinda freaking out(as are most girls), but Ren tells her that even knowing the truth and how harsh it is, she doesn't regret becoming a meguca one bit, because it led to her to meeting Rika in first place, which is just such a precious scene in general...

Right! That was great. First it was Rika that helped Ren find something worth living for and then it was Ren's turn to give the same support to Rika when she was at her lowest point. That was indeed very beautiful scene! Also that line that they become megucas to find each other. I'd disagree with it not progressing, especially since I feel like that line is as close as we're going to get to officially confirming them. Outside of duo unit. I don't know what the christmas story is about, but I bet it's gay.

Which pairing it is ? There is tag for 3 differents pairings.

Look at the hands. All three fingernails are different colors so it's probably Minami x everyone listed.

While this has basically been resolved on its own - and anyone who wants to continue should hop on to the discussion thread - I just wanted to clarify something.

This is probably more an issue of inconsistency rather than hypocrisy. Personally, as long as everyone is staying respectful and constructive, I don't see any issue. As Nevri said, it's entirely possible that moving the discussion kills it. We mods shouldn't be killing discussion without good reason, I'd hope.
