I wish Aweida’s art skills were better; they have the best premises and dialogue but the drawings are pretty crummy. They would be well suited for a collab pairing with a top tier artist on a longer series!
I enjoy Aweida's art, there's a certain charm and unique look to it.
Yeah, I think the crudeness adds to the depiction of the unhinged scenarios rather than detracts.
Their drawings are a little unusual in manga, maybe an acquired taste, but I would not call them low quality at all. The expressions are amazing, probably some of the best in the scene, and despite the wacky scenarios the choreography is always believable yet interesting.
The sketchy style itself works really well with the improvised quality of the scenes. The scenarios are obviously contrived, but the way the characters react to them and the way they are drawn makes what they are doing feel unplanned and immediate.
To be fair, I say this after having read a number of their full doujins. It's probably hard to get a feel for it through just the shorts they release on social media.
