This chapter has me putting a bit more stock in the theory that Wakana is just pretending to be enthralled. I could see Ruruna being saved from this "legal" situation by Wakana revealing she's in control of her actions.

I still have strong speculations about that theory, especially in this chapter. Wakana was enjoying the master play more than usual this time. Another point to add to that theory is that since Vampire-san is still a newbie when it comes to sucking blood from humans, she doesn’t really know how a human should act. There’s a possibility that, for Wakana, the effect wore off, and she just started playing along because she’s kinky. But then again thats just a theory ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It's still possible to be a vampire...and be extremely sheltered with delusions of grandeur. It's like the countryside to the big city trope.

Without seeing other vampires it's hard to tell what the norm is or if everyone is typically compliant with laws regarding humans and living integrated vs the stray orthodox vampire sects or whatever clashing. So far we've heard of one (likely idiot by the sounds of it) who got in trouble with the law and the MC.

Let's see how she freaks out when miss van Helsing pops up as a transfer student.

This was her first time biting a human. It's not strange to be ignorant when she's never done it before.

Also, there are some humans out there that have no clue how the modern world works. And those are normal people who live in the open and regularly interact with society, unlike a vampire.

alright while this isn't 100 percent explicit no way around it evidence, I do think it is pretty fair at this point to say that yes Ruruna is indeed a vampire, and yes she has indeed enthralled Wakana, who as a result of being enthralled has been instilled iwth a deep and almost dangerously high level of love for Ruruna.

ah shit you managed to quote me before I rescinded the second half of my comment that on retrospection I thought was a little too incendiary to keep up. Thanks for not taking it the wrong way though. and yeah, this is definitely leaning too hard into the comedy aspect of Ruruna having bit off more than she can chew to become actively worrying lmao.
