Sazanami Cherry is not fucking Yaoi and whoever added that tag is an asshole. Ren is a trans girl, she is a girl. The author is clumsy about it and doesn't seem to know that hormones exist, but she is a girl. This is heterosexual.

This is not Yaoi. This is Het. This is a romance between a girl and a boy. That the girl happens to be trans is not a qualifier for it being Yaoi. It's a Heterosexual romance.

I'm not against yaoi either and it indeed seems cute (i haven't read it yet) but i definitely prefer Yuri :3
I'd prefer this site to be only yuri.... but i have no right on it and i'm so grateful for all the scans that i won't complain anymore x)

I agree, complaining about the series simply because it has a tag you don't like isn't discussion of the content. Do not do this.

Hmm, while this is cute and fun and all, I dunno if the Transsexual tag really fits. It seems more straight-up crossdressing, like in Prunus Girl or Reversal, than an identification or desire on Ren's part to actually be a girl. Even the author's end notes seem to refer only to crossdressing.

That said, I find it hilarious to see people whining about yaoi on the reader when there's been yaoi in the reader for at least FOUR YEARS! Many lulz were had.

She doesn't identify as a male, thus being a transsexual. You're thinking of it purely on a physical form when it applies mentally as well.

Actually, I'm going by the fact that he never in the story identifies, or even refers to himself as female. And in fact, while he treasures the clothing, still sees it as fashion.

As a trans woman myself, I can assure you I'm thinking about a bit more than physical form here.

I will give you that the older sister may be trans, but again there's no identifcation and she refers to herself quite forthrightly as a guy multiple times. So perhaps a dedicated crossdresser instead, which does happen.

Ren is a bit trickier to pin down, and based on the story seems more like a crossdresser who really looks up to their older sister. However, we've only got the story itself to go by, so waddaya gonna do?

There's two at least half transgendered persons in the manga, that justifies the tag enough.

To me it's like the author didn't really knew much about it, like how Ren says he would be able to be a girl when he's young, because when he grows up he would become a man, becauso you know HRT and SRS apparently don't exist in that world.

Yeah, there's also this weird thing that shows up in a few of the crossdressing mangas that have been popping up on the reader, to the effect that every guy will grow up to be big and beefy. It's like there's no such thing as varying body types.

I actually like all the trans stuff going up. The terminology is a bit crude, but does it really matter? Even if it was actually yaoi it shouldn't be an issue, considering all the other things that are on this reader. If there must be futa, let there be yaoi.

For all the cereal though, totally sers. I really like that the main male doesn't have much hesitation about Ren's gender. It's nice to see things like this and Prunus Girl.

Fact: My girlfriend only likes gay male porn. I don't have much of a preference. We're both inclined to only watch making out parts though > there's the typical romanticism, right?

TBH, as much as I'd rather it were the other way, I'd personally say take the trans tag off and put the yaoi one on. Word Of God in the endnotes says Ren's a boy, and no amount of wishing will change that.

I say leave it ambiguous if you must do anything. That way people can read into it what they want. The current tags are excellent.

(I will always side-eye people who read this as yaoi though. Side-eye I tell you.)
