Has anyone seen Yurikuma Arashi? I just finished it and it was pretty trippy-ish at first almost reminded me of Madoka a bit. At first I didn't think I'd like it and it was kind of jarring but In the end I kind of like their nonlinear way of story telling.

^ Oh nah, it isn't comments this time ^ p ^" Just some weird news/fear-mongering about a potential WWIII starting soon, which kinda got me worried for my gf's safety if it was real.

yeah it's really scary you could always do what me and my friends might become a pirate and join my crew

That, and my gf's granny is not feeling too good these days so that's depressing as well.

well that's awful I hope she feels better very soon

Just saw the movie Town.

Really interesting movie. Enjoyed it. Ben Affleck is really good when comes to acting and directing.

Now moving to his most famous movie Argo!

Reading recent posts from this thread made me think that it must be an unlucky period for pretty much everyone. Well, the days are getting shorter, temperature's dropping, the summer is not to be seen for so much.. anyway, I hope that everything will turn out well! (don't want to quote specific posts to not make this post any more depressing)

Another piece of Galich drama, run while you can!

Well, got forced into dropping out of the uni. What makes it unfortunate is the fact that it's connected to being transgender; dysphoria plus depression have made it impossible for me to carry on neglecting my mental state. Which is not a deal breaker in itself, but apparently: 1. My depression is caused by being trans, at least according to multiple psychologists; 2. Due to that, not a single psychologist will treat me due to the way things work in this country; I am forced into seeking seeking a psychiatrist that specialises in transgender people; 3. In spite of the fact that my (ex) uni has an entire complex full of psychologists and psychiatrists that are dedicated to help with many issues of the students for free, not a single one of them is qualified to help me with my own issues; 4. It is virtually impossible to both do therapy and uni at the same due to financial and time connected reasons; this edcision wasn't made by me.

In short, instead of sitting at the uni and studying for the next 349 days, I'll be attending psychotherapy and working some low end job just due to dumb luck that I was born this way.

Going last time to the building to pick up the papers tomorrow, and checking the local mall for a job on Tuesday. Wish me luck.

I apologize for writing this post, but I honestly just feel too pissed off/upset to not complain about this. Tbh, I'd say that it's more than justifiable.

tl;dr version: Been better.

@Blackkitty I read your post, will reply to it as soon as my mind is set into the mode of not wanting to demolish the entire uni building.

Gosh, that sounds messed up... I'm really very sorry to hear that!
Being forced to drop out of university is a tough one... I hope that at least therapy will work for you and that at one point you'll get another chance to go back to university...

Sometimes we just run out of luck and a lot of bad things happen one after another...
I hope you'll manage somehow. So please hang in there!

Yeah, I've seen it. At first I had a problem with Killing off sumika and replacing her with ginko at the beginning. But I came to like the change at episode 12. Also I don't get why people just turned away from this series. Were getting full-on yuri without any Subtext,Crossdressing,Bait & Switch, or any other of that bullshit. And people just drop it all because it's "to hard to follow".

@ Black-Savior-Kitty ^^

ok..who knows, maybe in 10 years you will be getting published and I will be taking care of patients^^

Don't know, but one thing is for sure: we both need a little more confidence and self-esteem ;)

she is a little troublemaker - another bad weed in the family! ;)

She sometimes is but I actually kind of like that about her. Not her being sick but her coming to me whenever something is wrong with her. When she's looking for help, she comes to me – I just wish I could understand her better...

unfortunately she can't tell us what torments her :(

Yeah, would be great if she could just tell me what's wrong.

And we are hear to listen to you, always :)

Can't say that enough, so thank you again! It really means a lot to me! You're a very kind person. Don't ever change that!

...the gay part would've caused serious conflicts because a gay dog is a potential source of bad ideas....>_>

If he can't even take a gay dog then that kinda sounds depressing... I'm sure that's tough for you as well...

@ Rina

So I just finished watching Lights Out, and it was an rather average horror film.

Take a look at the bright side: TWD will return next Sunday! ;)

My guess is on Aaron or Abraham ^^

Looks like I'm the only one on this thread in high spirits, having 0 problem and stomping everyone in my degree in terms of marks.

@Galich

Being forced to leave that uni you looked forward to going so much sucks. I feel bad for you.
As Rina pointed out, the bright side is that you're seeing a psychatrist, who may help you to get through those dysphoria and depression. (the latter caused by you being transgender doesn't suprise me, I had a feeling it was at least connected to you mental state).

That said, a detail still irks me; if it's the first time you go to see a psychatrist, how did you get the antidepressants and medications you were (are?) under ? Do pharmacies sell them without prescription in Poland ?

Is it impossible for you to study at home ? You should be able to attempt exam inspite of it, aren't you ?
If not, I hope your uni will be understanding and that you will be able to go back there next year.

I wish everything will go better for you. You really are the unlucky type.
Normally, I'd say something like "if you want someone to talk to, just send me a message on steam or wherever you want", but in this case I shall refrain.

I second what Anon said, this thread is the place to [try to] draw away your sorrow and disappointment.

@Rina Yea, I'm quite happy about that at the very least. I mean, it's a treament after all, supposed to make me feel better and all, so it's not a negative thing necessarily.

I'd say that we just all have to wait until things start working out well for us. Hang on Cafe!

@Anon Don't worry, it's not as dramatic as it sounds :P

I mean, in the end I think I\d have changed my degree after the first year, plus if I ever want to come back, there won't be problem with that. But I've already made my mind up; when (and not if) come back, it's gonna be for a degree I enjoy studying for a job I'd want to do all the time.

It kind of is messed up.. I mean, after all I cannot even valtz in there and tell them my problems, since they would just say that it's not a disability that directly interfers with attending uni, which I call bullshit on. I just wish that the society would be more aware of the LGBT community, not trans people alone.

At the very least they're trying to cater to other students with different students. Good idea, but it's still a bit imperfect. Well, I am optimistic about the future, those things will become more debated topic, I am 100% sure of that.

@Galich

@Utoptia Well, it's unsurprising really, since it's been my main "hot debated topic" in the thread for the past few weeks or so.

Regarding the meds, it's not exactly hard to get one's hands on those if you have someone working in medicine befriended. Just asked for a prescribtion for something to get me up, and I got it.

As I said before, the uni won't recognize it as sth handicapping my ability to study, and one would need an actual medical paper for every single sick leave justified. Imho it's just stupid, as long as someone's able to write the exams, their frequence of attending should not be controlled.

Well, this reminds of the modest beginning of this thread, when I first posted on page 8 I believe.. we came a long way since then.

I dropped it cause it made me like car/sea sick. I dunno, what it was but I couldn't physically watch it. (Also so much reused footage. That was rather annoying.)

I was disappointed in myself that I could not get into it since I love Morishima's art, but alas, Yurkikuma was not for me.

Honestly can't remember the last time I heard somebody saying that...
I hope it will continue like that. You know that you need to have as much fun as you can for all of us now, right? ;) That burden is on you now! ^^

@ Rina

Indeed, the hype is very real.

Well... I'd say we've waited long enough. Now it's about time to find out who it is... ;)

@ Galich

But I've already made my mind up; when (and not if) come back, it's gonna be for a degree I enjoy studying for a job I'd want to do all the time.

That sounds like a good plan! Hope you'll be able to stick to that.

Being trans might not be but depression surely is, right?
When I was in college the girl sitting behind me dropped out because of a depression. The folks there offered to help but they didn't ask for what caused the depression.
So you could just say that you need to take care of your mental health first before you can concentrate on studying...

It definitely is hard to follow since it's not told in a linear fashion. Reading the comments, I can see people just weren't into it, which is valid of course. I was skeptical at first too honestly but the artwork and metaphors sucked me in.

@Galich
Nooo, Well, I think it's much easier to drop uni in your country and return later in your country than mine. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. In my case, the miracle of prescription drugs. It took a lot of therapy to get to the point that I only needed drugs to help me.

If you ever need someone to talk to I can give you my skype and we can chat privately there.
