Re-Kan ep6 just meh.

My translation: heartbteakingly beautiful. The show lacks overall when it comes to comedy and characters, but it has it's moments.

I found the first episode hilarious, the 6th was heart warming, overall the show is okish,if only cos I like ghost stuff

koneko probably didn't like it because it was predictable, it wasn't bad !male didn't have many lines so that's good.

Aw, my Jojo OVA knowledge made me hopefull of witnessing some motherfuckin' DIO this time but i didn't know that Vanilla Ice came before his face reveal =[

But Ice was in the OVA

Poor Avdol, you shouldn't have raised those death flags

They fight vanilla at the same time if I remember correctly...I think the ps1 game is more accurate than the OVA plot-wise anyway. and then there's the abridged series

well, if fighting at the same time means Polnareff gets conviniently pulled out of the room and the Jojos don't start fighting until he is finished, then yes.

Yet another report:

Found another NanoFate levels of subtext-but-might-as-well-just-tag-it-as-yuri... in the anime Sengoku Collection, the characters appear only(?) episodes 4 and 22 (also episode 15, but it doesn't have much importance to the story that follows the yuri bit)... Quite nice, do recommend.

Context to the setting (might be confusing without knowing this):
The series follows female versions of generals from the Sengoku period as they are mysteriously sent to the modern world and try to adapt to a new lifestyle.

I don't know much of the anime, I only watched those 2 episodes cuz I was only interested on watching for this story.

No, i mean, in the OVA the Vanilla Ice fight starts after they encounter Dio and has their little conversation
Though actually he's still in the shadows at that point, but i just want some Dio!!

It made me cry a little bit... teary eyes, like "Come on! endure this time!!!" But nope, I am a crybaby I accepted my fate. Re-kan is a 7,4/10 but ... ahhmmm.... I like it (Let's pretend the second episode didn't happen).

Since i don't remember them saying anything about delinquent's parents, I'll assume you're talking about Uehara's. In which case, I don't agree at all. They both work for months on end and neither of them is ever home. The show never said anything specific about the mother working that did not apply to the father.

Liking Re-kan, has the supernatural element working with slice of life and cute girls doing cute things without distorting them. Ep6 was pretty great, as well as ep5.

Thanks for the answers, guys, I'm gonna be less dissappointed after watching it now. :D

Season 1 or 2?

Season 1 for now. Didn't even know there was a season 2.

Indeed! There is a lead-ova I think.

And Mushishi IS awesome x)

It really is. I'm only on episode 3 but it has a really nice mood going on. Ginko is probably gonna make it onto my favorite male character list, too.

One of the very few competent, from the outset, protagonists I've ever come across.

The thing about Mushishi and similar shows (Aria and Natsume) is that I can't watch them for a prolonged period of time. They're comfortable and I enjoy watching them, but the max I can go is 3 episodes at a time. Unfortunately, I marathon shows a lot, so it's really easy for me to put them on hold and forget about them.

I'm the opposite, these are the kind of show that I watch the easiest. I can spend days on them and if there is an exam or a job to do aside, you can be sure it will not be done until I finished the show x)

Mushishi is like 50% horror, though

I would argue 15%. Granted I've only seen like 6 episodes.

It's the relaxing kind of horror though.

Yeah, actually I find it way too relaxing to be qualified as horror. After seeing it mentioned here, I checked on other site, and only one put the horror tag on it... I still can't really agree

Oh good. I'm not fond of horror and what Hylarn said made me warry of the episodes I haven't seen.

Well, it's horror if "There's ghosts." counts as horror. I don't know, I don't really care for horror.

I'd say mystery, not horror.

To me, some of the things the mushis are capable of can be considered horrific if you consider those oblivious to their existence/incapable of seeing them.

Translation: I'm a wimp.

Pretty much all of Mushishi is about nature and harmony

Edit : Ah maybe you were talking about mushi in general when you said ghost ?

Well that half-of-cup story was pretty ghostly.
And then there's river of life and stuff...
