I know there are only 3 panels for the Ringo x Seiran pairing, but seeing them run a stall together, the two crossing arms in the Couples coupon, and Seiran getting embarrassed after Ringo shows her the image on said coupon makes me want to add them as a hidden third pairing in this chapter. Just my 2 cents.

I wanted to write a long and heartfelt paragraph about how happy I am to see an actual multi-chapter ReiMari semi-official doujin (how long until ZUN finally makes them canon? he clearly approves of them and he's been including more and more lesbian undertones and characters in the recent games) and how my 2010 self would've been ecstatic over it but this quoted comment cracks me up and it's actually how I really feel when I'm reading. I wouldn't bother with the "semi-official" label myself, since it just muddles things for no reason.

When people use it, they generally mean that it's one of the monthly manga published through Strange Creators of Outer World, the Touhou magazine that mostly just refers to these online manga these days. It's certainly some mark of quality to be selected/have one's comic greenlit for it and given all that visibility (plus money), but when people extend this to imply whatever kind of personal approval by ZUN (he doesn't run the magazine but has some involvement with it), it's mostly just a fun thing to think about but doesn't really mean anything.

They're also by definition not doujinshi, since they're published (even as print editions) by KADOKAWA, one of the largest publishers in Japan. It's like continuing to call an indie artist indie even when they're drawing for Disney. But the term "doujin" is just really deeply ingrained in the fandom to refer to non-canon stuff.

Yeah, she mentions having Asthma in the ex stage for EoSD. Which is odd now that I think about it, because she's said to be a natural born magician, so I assume that means she was born a youkai? So youkai, the creatures born from human fear and imagination, can have asthma. Can they have other medical conditions? Like, do they have to worry about the common cold, or cancer?

Anyways this chapter was great, PatchiAli is a good ship.
Also that explains what the book from the previous chapter was, but is that all was meant to accomplish narratively? The way Yukari looked at it made it seem more important somehow.

Yeah, I suggested the tag, as should others. The tag suggestion system's really easy to use, and my impression is that the more people suggest a specific tag, the higher the odds are of it being added.

And oh gosh, this is so, so, so good. My heart is completely fulfilled. My only regret is that people who aren't into Touhou may skip on reading this by default - they're really missing out.
