Whether this is simply due to the localization, or was a part of the original Japanese script, I do not know.

What I do know is that while it is funny, it is also probably due to laziness.

^Well in at least Extella both master options have CG art that's unique to them, and from my understanding Hakuno/Hakunon have some differences in general. Then there's FGO where Morgan says husband or wife depending on your master. So I don't think Tamamo's single word choice is laziness and it's more so that she views herself as the wife, and the player as her husband regardless of gender. A character quirk of hers is how I think of it anyhow.
