^ Lol if you've been feeling like that from the first six episodes, then better be prepared to be completely devastated by the next ep. Even for someone who already read the manga, I and my friends still can't bear with that to this day.
Also, never doubt the yuri content in the series, the author themself said that Ninkoro is a yuri series.

I mean I've been reading the manga which has been getting scanlated on mangadex for a while before the anime and like, yeah the humor is meanspirited but also, characters who make it past their introductory chapter tend to be safe from death.

There's also something to be said about how Hundredburger talks in the volume one credits that they thought they'd been signed up for a oneshot and that's why the series started out so cavalier about murder, and then once they were made to realize it was just a genuine serial they had to keep up with that tone lmao.
