I can't believe I'm only finding this series now. As a MeiSaku shipper this is everything I wanted and more, love sick Sakuya pining after dense Meiling is both hilarious and heartwarming and a really nice change to the usual dynamics you find on fanart (where Meiling is the one pining after Sakuya). The art is wonderful and I really appreciate that yuri is on your face. I hope it goes for a long time.

I love how the author is not afraid to draw the characters their own way (while still respecting canon) and how much thought they put into every detail. It gives the whole thing a lot of personality and everyone's so cute!

This series is fantastic, it's funny, and has a very warm atmosphere that most other one-shots of this pairing don't really give off to me. Every character and relationship feels very grounded and three dimensional. And the antics of this series are great. Very epic, 10/10 would recommend

Alright, after getting into touhou when I bought mystia's izakaya at the start of february this year I also started reading touhou fanworks with the purple summit. Now on october 3rd I have read (or at least skimmed there were a couple that were imo awful) all touhou works on the dynasty reader.

Only took me 8 months to read 3196 works. Read some more too because sometimes a work would have a sequel or prequel but it was only on danbooru so I'd have to read it there. All in all it gave me a lot to read over the summer when my job kept me far too busy to do anything more than read a couple minutes at a time.

That's an impressive amount of reading, do you always get this interested in a series' fanworks or did something about touhou particularly interest you? Also can you make a list of what you thought were the best touhou works and authors? It would be interesting to see what's the best out of the all the fanworks created since touhou got popular 22 years ago.

To a degree yeag, when I get into a new series I always start chronologically and once I get the time to play the official games I am going to start with the first. I also just figured that since the touhou works on this site alone stretch back nearly twenty years that a lot of good work had to be buried underneath a mountain of time and that was certainly true. If I'd have to make a list it would take some time though and I'd probably want to do it in a standalone post somewhere.

I've still yet to bother actually playing a Touhou game. It's just a constellation of various connected manga and doujinshi series for me lol

Edit; my favorites are this manga in number one, The Magician Who Loved A Fake in number two, and Wild and Horned Hermit in number three.

I wasn't particularly into the ship either before reading this, because normally they're both characterized pretty differently than this by other authors, but like this isn't a romance manga, it's a comedy manga. So ship preferences don't really feel relevant to me lol.

What fandoms do you mostly follow right now and do you jump between fandoms or are there certain staples you keep coming back to? Dynasty also has some decent Kemono Friends and Lucky Star stuff but obviously not as much as touhou.

I actually rarely read fanworks, mostly because I'm just not actually that into many fandoms. Like I do play arknights so there's one, but I just had been wanting to get into touhou for a long time now and I didn't know where to start until I bought mystia's izakaya. Which ended up being a really good decision due to that game's large cast and the devs dedication to staying as close to official characterization as they could. If I do end up making a best of touhou, I'd probably just make a forum post here on dynasty because honestly I'd be doing it mostly for myself and I don't use reddit outside of necessity so I don't particularly mind if few people end up seeing it (again if I do make it).
