Ludicrous is the point of hyperbole.
Not always, sometimes hyperbole can still accurately describe the situation, object or someone. Like a person who is so evil that no matter the evil qualities you use to describe this person they all fit like a glove.
Well the point of the statement was to highlight the contrast I felt there was between Shou's works. That exaggeration worked for me at the time, sue me.
How is it that a loli hentai artist has crafted two of the greatest pieces of art humanity has ever known?
I'm pretty sure that many, hundred, million of artists/drawers/mangakas can draw lolis and some of them can make hentai out of it and yet do anything else... Don't let that define him.
Did my comment come of as an insult? I didn't mean that, I'm sorry. Prism and Stretch are just so good, it's weird thinking the guy who wrote them writes loli hentai. It's not a bad thing, it's just weird to me.
Not quite an insult, I know how you feel, I've seen many artist fall in perversion unable to write or draw something without forced ecchi or fetiches anymore... Feels like a waste of talent in many cases, lucky for us Shou isn't one of them, he can keep the equilibrium in his work.
Btw I haven't find or really tried to see his hentai work yet... Hmmm, well! Is never late to start!
I suppose it's just my knee jerk reaction that porn* is a lesser form of storytelling, regardless of contents. Not actually true, it's a society thing, I think, telling me that porn can't be good. That was the idea with original statement, anyway.
*And therefore being associated with porn makes one a lesser artist.
