Works for me. If you're in too many servers, the link won't work.

I'm still kind of new to Discord. How is it being used? Is it basically just for text and images or do people hang out in "rooms" and voice chat?

The #rules channel runs over which channels and categories are for what. I find Discord pretty overwhelming, so I tend to stick to 3-4 channels that suit me. It's almost exclusively text and image-based in my experience. However, if you're around for them, there are events hosted occasionally that do support voice chat if desired!
