Yup :) It was very well done- she denied what the lady said out of reflex and hadnt ever thought about it- but as soon as that turned out to be an option and she had just shot it down herself, she felt her heart fall and instantly realised she wanted that- and was brave and smart enough to take steps right away.

I love stories like this! I hope the author does at least 1 follow up- i'd love to see a little bit more of them!

Wearing your backpack on your chest is considered to be mindful and respectful first and foremost, simply because of how brutally packed regular public trains are in Japan during rush hours.
