You can't think all Shou has up in his mind is lolicon.
Why not?
Simply because the human brain is more developed than that. Human societies are more developed than that. The notion that Shou, or any hentai writer, has 4+ works on lolicon, therefore they can only conceive of lolicon is just dehumanizing.
It makes it seem as though these writers are one-dimensional and that they can only see the world through one sort of lens and have not experienced a wide range of emotions.
Well clearly he's proven at this point that he /can/ write other things. But that doesn't stop plenty of hentai mangaka spending their entire careers just making increasingly extreme works in their chosen genre. Which is clearly a pattern he could have been entering into if you compare his most recent tank to his previous work. Though funnily enough that was released after he did Prism.
Anyway, I was never dissing Shou in the first place anyway - you both put words in my mouth. I was just wondering what his motivation may have been for such a complete departure from his previous work. It was probably something as simple as someone went, "Hey bro, wanna do some yuri?" or maybe he'd wanted to write some yuri for a while and looked for an opportunity to do so. I dunno why you both took umbrage with my original comment.
He must have some interest of his own in yuri though if he wrote Stretch as he has - I can't imagine he was instructed to add the yuri subtext(/text).
