^I'll provide a narrative option as well. Saria and Silence had a lot of sex late into the night, and Saria didn't have time to shower in the morning due to oversleeping. She only had time to quickly get dressed and to go to work. That's the narrative I'm going with personally :P

Also thinking about it, Silence only noticing the feathers after Saria dashes off to work is a pretty funny thought. Maybe she realized the embarrassing situation Saria is experiencing. Which could lead to Silence having sex with Saria again that night, partly in hopes of making Saria feel better. However it only starts the cycle over the very next day haha

TBF it's not like feline tongues are much better. Those can break human skin with repeat application and IIRC some of the big cats use theirs to strip fur off prey before eating (less hairballs to spit out later that way). And some birds have what amounts to freaking harpoons in their mouths...
