TBF it's not like feline tongues are much better. Those can break human skin with repeat application and IIRC some of the big cats use theirs to strip fur off prey before eating (less hairballs to spit out later that way). And some birds have what amounts to freaking harpoons in their mouths...

Schwarz has been watching over Ceylon for a most of Ceylon's life and is closer to her than anyone. The moment in the story where it became clear that Schwarz would side with Ceylon over basically anyone else I was instantly sold on this ship.
