This is so great, but the backup stories kind of get in the way. Nowhere near the same quality as the main story.

Yah, i skipped the backstory so i really don't know what was goin' on there. About the main story, i'm kinda confused, soo: Shangai and Hourai got their consciousness 'cuz of that Grimoire book or 'cause Alice loves them so much? And also, why did Shangai cry at the end of story when she said "This time i'll be your older sister"? The only reason that gets on my mind is "happiness" but i'm not really sure. This story is really sad, kinda like dramatic platonic love isn't it? Worth a fav.

I believe they got consciousness because of Alice, but the Grimoire took advantage of that in the case of Hourai, the first to awaken. At the end, everyone thinks it was entirely the Grimoire's doing since the dolls went quiet, but learning that Shanghai is still alive and Hourai II is in the process of awakening is the big tell that it was really Alice all along.

I think Shanghai's tears are part happiness/relief that her sister isn't gone after all, and part sadness at the memory of what happened to her elder sister that led to the current moment.

LOL! That backstory is kind of time consuming but enjoyed it nevertheless... Those four really enjoyed their time together... And man! That's some tearjerker... Alice was kinda scary too... Yuuka is somehow nice which is... kinda nice. Man, can't get enough of this art style...

Still loved the story, I love sad story's.

Also I like how it mostly sticks to Cannon besides Marisa not knowing much, she can remember anything that she comprehends. The main thing that a lot of people don't get though is that Patchouli actually really hates Marisa and even Alice but still works with them for her own interest, like how it stuck with that.

Even threatened to kill them on quite a few occations, like with rat poison.

And also the way Morino Hon makes action scenes is just goals. I aspire to make scenes this dynamic
