This story was nice. Little saddening, little happy. Little of everything, really.

I absolutely love this story so far.

And the PC98 Final Bosses keep getting better and better.

Ah, I remember this one. Do you guys think Mokou really came back in the end, or was Kaguya just hallucinating that she saw her? You know, since Mokou never appeared.

I, honestly, have no idea. I mean, it seems like something Eirin would do, but we saw Kaguya holding a skeletal hand and wrist.

I'm confused.

I thought this one was a bit depressing.
I mean, how often do all of you guys think about the future? We'll all die someday, and the Earth will eventually be destroyed by some cosmic force like the sun expanding or a meteor.
But Mokou and Kaguya? They'll keep on living. Even after the end of everything, after all of the stars have burnt out, and after the heat death of the universe they will live because of that curse disguised as a potion. Mokou is already over a millennia old, Kaguya is who knows how much longer than that.
I'm sure they'll each have a few centuries of nothing but attempts at suicide. There will come a time when they think that they've lived long enough, too long even, and just give up. Death of the body, the elixir may prevent, but death of the mind and soul cannot be stopped.

"Happiness" and "Happy End" and even the third one, "I Have No Need For Someone Like You" are my favorite doujins on this site, I think.

I have no idea what is going on in this doujin. Let me get this straight.
1. Kogasa saves Flan from the sun.
2. Flan wants to marry Kogasa.
3. Kogasa gets terrified.
4. Now Remilia wants to marry Kogasa.
5. Its over.

There was actually a somewhat serious moment in this book? Where?

I wish I could say that this was bad. Really, I do. This was far, far too dark for my liking.
The story does not appeal to me at all. It repulses me to think about. But the way it was told was far too good to let me close the tab. I loved this and hated this at the same time.
I need some time to think.

Is Byakuren really this powerful to overthrow Yuuka?

The author seems to have forgotten about quite a bit. S/he seems to obsess over power levels that have been undefined since Highly Responsive to Prayers.

While we're on the subject of the PC98 games, do you remember when Yuka fought Shinki, the God of Makai? Isn't Hokkai just a remote corner of Makai? Doesn't that mean that Yuuka should have won anyways?

I'm sorry, but when I look at Flan in a sun hat like that I can't help but think of Elly or Kana from the PC98 games. I know that its Flan, but the way she looks just screams "HEY! I'M KANA ANABERAL! THAT ONE POLTERGEIST WITH THE SAD THEME FROM PoDD! REMEMBER ME?"

Canon Touhou ftw. I can just feel Zun's yurifag spirit lurking in the murky subtext depths behind the presentation of Akyu and Kosuzu. It's not interesting enough to catch on with the mainstream of the doujin scene/secondary market, but it's moe enough for me.

I prefer the Kosuzu and Mamizou bits. They're a little more obvious. Akyu just seems to be a friend to Kosuzu.

Plus, if she keeps reading those Youma Books, Kosuzu may become a youkai herself, driving her away from Akyu regardless of her intentions. I'm kinda hoping that will happen.

I like that someone besides Byakuren is being an advocate for the youkai that aren't malicious. The youkai are changing, however slowly, because of Gensokyo, I think. Becoming more accepting of humans. Now if only the humans would work towards becoming more tolerant...

So far I've seen two stories on this site that involve ghost ships. This is the second of those two.

I love both of them and wish there were more.

Lots of use of unnecessary neko Kaguya.

I'm not complaining, I like it, but its just so inconsistent. What are the ears and tail supposed to do at the most random of times?

I'm on chapter seven. If there was a chapter of this that warranted the "What the fuck am I reading?" tag, this one would be it.

All I could think while reading this was the conversation that Marisa and Reimu had before the final battle in Concealed The Conclusion.

M:"Hey, Reimu, is everything really going to disappear? Is there nothing I can do even now?"

R:"I have always said this from a long time ago that there is nothing as useless as effort. Thank you for dealing with my selfishness until now. And I'm sorry."

M:"... So this is going to be the end soon... Don't you have something you want to say? If there's no way to avoid it, and this is truly fate, then having you as my final dueling partner must also be fate. To bet on Gensokyo's eternal fate, I propose a final Danmaku duel!"

R:"A battle to decide the eternal struggle... I accept!"

R:"Gensokyo is MINE, I will not hand it over to you!"

M:"Gensokyo isn't just YOURS, you can't take it away!"

Those sketches at the end are absolutely beautiful.

This was a great story. I hope you have a sequel planned because I want to see more of your Captain Edward Scarecrow.
