I can think of a few words in that sentence you made that made my head hurt. Please read my other comment before you post dumb comments. I think pretty much many mangas are cliche (not just yuri... yes even porn are cliche). It's just one's preference which "cliche" they'll enjoy.

Funny thing: where Japanese yuri preferred terms seem to be "Tachi x Neko", there is an old word used in the West for that receptive role in a gay male relationship: a catamite.)
