Even the blind can see the similarities and I guess I like the author even more because of this

i love the fluffiness and i love how it takes their relationship seriously. In that respect it reminds me of Morinaga Milk's Girl Friends. There's a slow burn even after they confess, but progress is made.

I think the web version covered everything that would be in volume four? At any rate, v. 4 was all that Valkyrie comics serialised.

there is also a new series like a sequel and all that! I did read this version since it was supposed to be the serialization of the web comic but it hasn’t been updated in a year :/ I guess I should start over with the web comic :/

If I'm remembering correctly, for the most part it was identical to the Web Comic version, so the scanlator that picked up the series after Yuri Ichigo didn't bother with this version since the Web Comic was the one that released first and ran for longer anyway and there wasn't much point in doing the same scanlation twice.
