Interesting detail: In the PSP game, which greatly expands on the original series with possible scenarios, a optional event with Mami is to go back and check on the office lady after dealing with Gertrud... and it doesn't end well, the woman was actually suicidal, despite the Witch's kiss influence, and she incredibly lashes out at Mami for saving her, getting verbally attacked for following her moral code like that has a major impact on Mami's psyche, and it becomes the primary reason for her Witching out in the route.

For a company known to shaft their female protagonists, it is quite nice to see some recognition this time.

Even aside from it being part of the plot, literally in season 1 onward they share a bed and refer to each other as "my sunshine." Pretty gay even outside of the plot.

I want to see what happens next!

Seriously, HibiMiku has to be the gayest anime couple who aren't in a yuri romance anime.
