Hey everyone I wanted to make a little topic to talk about the new anime season so everyone has info on the good stuff. Basically post the New anime, OVAs, Movies or whatever for late september, october+

Personally here's what I'm interested in:
Yuruyuri ova ~ nov. 21 - probably some yuri
Strike Witches op Victory arrow ~ sep 20 - subtext most likely
Gintama sp(?) ~ nov 15
Sabagebu Omake ~ sep 24 - Urara (lol)
Locodol Ova ~ sep 24 - subtext as always
(maybe?) Queen's blade new Ova ~ sep 30 - Not sure probably not unless Airi or Annelote show up

There are a couple of new anime coming out as well but I'll have to check info 1st to see if I'd like them. Maybe I'll even actually catch up on Aikatsu lol

EDIT: I completely forgot if there's any amount of yuri/subtext in your picks please mention it and I'll jump in the hype train right away

I'm mostly looking forward to SW OVA's and Locodol.
I'm curious to see what they'll do with a feature length Yuru Yuri, though! Although, going off the manga, nothing Yuri'ish probably :(

The YY ova was announced a while back by Namori, I'm not really worried about it its probably gonna be good.

Hmm.. The only thing I'm looking forward to at the moment is Selector Spread WIXOSS and Mushishi...

I wonder if I'm growing weary/old.

Excellent! I'm hoping to only follow Sora no Method this season, though I often get sucked into other stuff just cause. There's also the chance SnM won't be everything I expect it to, but...I feel very confident for some reason or another.

hmm I noticed we all think that we won't be watching much new anime this season, that's why I made the topic to spread info and maybe find hidden gems so I'll be hunting down info on everything that's coming out and then post my impressions well except the ones I already mentioned because I'll watch those anyway.

I've been really uninterested in new animes lately, most of the stuff surrendered to the moe trend which i hate so much, stuff like Attack on Titan and Kill la Kill were way over hyped and they simply doesn't deliver though i'm one of the people who over hyped Kill la Kill, but it took a nosedive so hard after episode 5 and it never came back and most mecha shows are using CGi, the worst sin one can commit in this industry
So yeah, fow now i'll only look forward to Gundam Build Fighters and G no Reconguista, and then wait 4 painful months until the second part of Stardust Crusaders

Mostly go for comedies, got my eyes on there:

I'll pretty much just be looking into the series Hylarn mentioned, plus Mushishi S2 part 2 (and also keeping up with Sailor Moon Crystal and Yama no Susume). Glancing through the charts, though, there was one other title which caught my eye which sounds fucking stupid and looks like it could be a bit of fun: Ore, Twintails ni Narimashita.

Not precisely yuri, 'cause the protagonist is a guy who transforms into a girl. Glancing through the cast it looks like there could also be developments between the other characters, however, so hopefully the show will also have some yuri without the MC.

I think it has potential to be a hilarious bit of insanity, but LN adaptations rarely live up to their potential. We'll see! Yuri-wise, wouldn't expect anything played seriously

Yama no Susume S2 cour2 is about 4 girls bathing climbing together.

Alright after a bit more research only Sora no Method caught my attention, my radar reacted in the trailer looks promising no joke. Aside from that I'll probably watch the 1st ep of Shirobako, Kiseijuu, Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru, Kaito Joker(dunno why), Denki-Gai no Honya-san, Selector Spread WIXOSS(vague don't know what to expect).

About Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu: have low expectations it will most likely end up being the same generic overused BS not expecting any yuri here but do post here if there is please I might even endure the het.

Never being big on Mecha but I agree with Kyonne the CGI is REALLY distracting I'll probably end up watching one or two of the new mecha show for the lols.

Geez that's more than I thought hopefully I'll be able to watch the full 1st ep off the ones I mentioned and more and not end up rage quitting after 8 mins like frikin tamako market ugh then end up liking them and watch the whole thing gotta stay positive after all!

Bumping this because the season is starting and the first episode of selector spread WIXOSS was incredibly gay. Most of the episode is Hitoe taking Ruuko out, including to a "Girl meets Girl festival"(!), Ru is hung up on Tama, Iona continues to be Iona, but with more naked embracing imagery, and the preview is about Akira's feelings towards Iona

Oh, and for those of you who were interested in G-Reco, I hope you like clunky, expostion-heavy dialogue, because that's what you're getting

I'm kinda thrown off by the choppy animation, i wonder if it's the questionable production value that can't afford even a opening or if it's trying to mimic 90's animation, it can still pick up it's pace though so there's a potential there G-Self is my waifu though

Now i'm really looking forward to Build Fighters, as the staff have proclaimed that they're aware of the flaws of the first series and will focus more on creating battles like the Fenice and Sniper K9 one, which were my favorite twos

It's on purpose, Tomino is old and can't into new stuff. Compared to today stuff it's clunky, zooms are awful and it's hectic but that was always how he did things. Not having inbetween animation makes these slapstick style stuff ( like the classic tomino slap in Ep 1 ) better.

I liked the Turn-A reference when he threw the arms in the air to test the G-Self

We already know that annoying girl that damaged his future waifu's beautiful butt is going to lose, and considering it's Tomino she's probably going to die a horrible death as well lul.

Yoshida's character designs are impressive as always, and I like the old style lines thrown in there as well. I hate the current void and no texture faces of the current animes.

"The world isn't square" doesn't work as well in English as it does in Japanese, that was a bad translation I'm sure most people didn't get the meaning.

Something about Bell's flank not working on her right? Had to go through some serious analysis to come to that

considering it's Tomino she's probably going to die a horrible death as well lul.

This is happy Tomino though, depressed Tomino would've already kill about 20 innocent bystanders in episode 2 Yes F-91's poor mother i remember you
As for the animation, i do admit that the stuff with the human characters looks charming and fits well with the cartoony style of the character design, but to me it hurts the mecha animations, especially when the frames looks so beautiful and the particle effects are gorgeous, beam sabers and beam rifles are looking really delicious
With that being said though, those episodes didn't focus so much on having a great fight and more on the overall stuff that was going on, so maybe if it keeps that way with less mecha fight it won't be such a issue? Normally i'd hate that, but Build Fighters is there exclusively to satisfy my craving for mecha porn, so maybe it'll help me enjoy G-Reco more

Is Wixoss actually worth picking up? As in, starting from the first season. I've basically been avoiding anything Mari Okada-related following the disappointment which was BRS (TV)... the series looked like something I might have picked up for the seiyuu and hopeful subtext otherwise, but my yuri-radar response was to give it a pass. Okada can be hit-or-miss, but I don't avoiding her entirely is a good idea. And BRS was worth it for the fights, if nothing else

The first season of WIXOSS was pretty good, if slow in the middle. Yuri-wise, there was some stuff that could be read into, but not much active shiptease. What happened with this episode was fairly surprising and I'm not sure where they're going with it
